One of my all time fav feel good movies.

D56 with Tamizharasan Pachamuthu was one of the films that i was excited for to see shades of vintage Dhanush back on screen (VIP, Thiruchitrambalam, Thiruvilayadal Aarambam, Yaradi nee mohini, Uthamaputhiran) mainly bcz the dir previous film Lubber Pandhu was one of the best wholesome dramas I've seen in a long time. I saw Kara 2 days back and while it was a good/decent film imo this is one of those films that gets its due only after it comes to ott or as years go by ppl start to appreciate it like VDS. As D55 is a serious commercial action entertainer film i thought maybe for D56 he will go for a more fun/comedy/romance drama kinda film but here he is again with the "serious film with some mass elements": captain miller, raayan, kara. Like I literally don't remember the last time this man smiled in his own movie😭😭.

Someone needs to remind him he is not 60 years old and can still do romantic/comedy films instead of the same serious genre stuff. I have a weird theory, if u notice all the way up to 2022/2023 he was himself and doing films of good variety of genres(happy, serious, fun), idk what happened but i think his personal life issues/negativity affected his entire mindset to the point where he has kinda forgotten who he really is. With the poor performance of Kara, now at least i hope he gets a wake up call and changes a few things. I'm not saying don't do serious films or anything, i'm just saying he can mix it up and do 1 serious genre - 1 commercial/fun/lighter film a year, like he used to back then. Again this is coming from someone who is a huge fan of Dhanush.

Apparently it's set to be Dhanush's biggest film to date, budget and scale wise and will be shot in both Hindi and Tamil. Film is set to go on next year after Mari Selvaraj's film.
