Knee injection hyarulonic acid

After 24 hours ,The swelling is still there, and I still can’t fully bend my knee, even when I’m lying down. Before the injection, my only symptom was a sharp pain when going up or down stairs. My doctor said it was due to patella alta (a high-riding kneecap) and Grade 2 cartilage damage in one knee; my other knee doesn’t have this problem.

I actually asked for the injection myself because some of our relatives had it and seemed to benefit from it. However, after getting it, I noticed that nobody I know experienced this much swelling or difficulty bending the knee, which made me worried.

So this happened to you as well? My knee is swollen and painful inside the joint, and I can’t bend it properly, even while lying in bed.

Is it temporary ? Is there anything I can do to speed up the recovery and reduce the swelling and stiffness?

If anyone has experienced this, please leave a comment.

Knee injection

Hi everyone. I had a single-shot JointVisc (hyaluronic acid) injection about 12 hours ago.

Before the injection, my only symptom was a sharp pain when going up or down stairs. I could fully bend my knee and I did not have pain while resting or walking.

I was also diagnosed with patella alta (high-riding kneecap), but my doctor said I did not need surgery and did not find a significant meniscus problem.

Since the injection, my knee has become swollen and painful. I can only bend it to about 90 degrees because of tightness, and now I feel pain at the front and inside of the knee. I also have pain with every step I take.

I do not have a fever or redness.

Has anyone experienced a similar reaction in the first 24-48 hours after a hyaluronic acid injection? If so, how long did it take to improve?
