Glastron Carlson CV3

Here's a few shots of the interior. When I bought it, it had a lot of rotten wood so I took it down to the bare hull and rebuilt it

Sharks on Santa Monica reef in BVI

I took this video while diving on Santa Monica reef in the British Virgin Islands. Three reef sharks followed us during the entire dive. They came in on us a few times. I guess they wanted a closer look.

Palancar Reef Cozumel

I took this video while diving on Palancar Reef in Cozumel. This is the first time I've ever come across such a large group of lobsters.

Ford 2.3l Ecoboost

I love the 2.3l Eco-Boost motor in my Bronco. Its a great motor with good power for a 4 banger. Many of you may already know this but this motor is capable of producing some crazy high horsepower.

After some research I discovered that the 2.3l is capable of producing 700+ HP. I found three performance builds which are listed below. I am in no way recommending these setups to anyone. I am posting this purely for informational purposes.

(Reference: all info in this post is from ChatGPT)

Ford 2.3L Eco-Boost Performance Builds

Build 1: 380 – 400 Crank HP

This setup does not compromise the daily reliability or exceed the structural limits of the stock fuel system.

  1. Add a high-quality custom flash performance tune.
  2. Install a larger aftermarket front-mount intercooler and down pipes.
  3. Add s high-flow drop-in air filter or a cold air intake kit.

Build 2: 450 – 500 Crank HP

This is the maximum for the stock engine and this is around the max HP the standard 10-speed automatic transmission (10R60) that comes in Ford Broncos fitted with the 2.3L or 2.7L EcoBoost is capable of safely and reliably handling.

  1. Add a larger drop-in turbo charger upgrade.
  2. Add an auxiliary port fueling kit or an upgraded high-pressure fuel pump (HPFP) and high-flow injectors. The factory direct-injection system maxes out around 420 hp.
  3. Tune for running E85 ethanol blend fuel or install a water-methanol injection system to suppress engine knock at high boost levels.

Build 3: 700+ Crank HP

Requires upgrading the block and internal moving parts to handle the extreme power and TQ. The stock 10R80 transmission in the Raptor is capable of safely handling around 700–750 whp.

  1. Requires special machining to install Darton style Sleeves.
  2. Add a large, single-scroll race turbocharger and a custom tubular exhaust manifold, along with dual external wastegates and a custom auxiliary fuel cell.

And for some super high crazy 4 banger HP and TQ, Bisimoto Engineering and Engineered Motorsport Solutions have built 900+ HP 2.3l Eco boost engines for drag racing Ford Mustangs.

I hope you find this as interesting as I do.

Hard top removal

I took the top off my Bronco for the first time. My lift made it a one man job and it only took a few minutes. Makes storage easy too.

Premium gas

I have a 2025 Bronco with the 2.3l. Can anyone tell the difference when running premium gas? I've run 87 and 91 and don't notice a difference in power. It runs great in either. I guess I need to find a station that sells 93 and try it.

Bronco Clubs

Do any of you Bronco owners live in the North Texas area? I'm looking for Bronco club recommendations. Have any of you visited any good off roading areas in Texas? Thanks

Bronco 2.3l gas mileage

What gas mileage are you full size Bronco owners getting on the highway? I just bought a 2025 Big Bend with Black Diamond Package, 2.3l engine and 10 spd transmission. The window sticker indicates gas mileage of 18 / 21 mpg. I recently took a trip and got 23.6 mpg using premium gas. I drove at 75 to 80 mph throughout the trip. I also get 19.7 mpg around town and I have a heavy foot. I was expecting less.
