SM went on med leave. Right as my big-ish move is happening

As per the title, my SM is on medical leave and I'm literally moving Wed-Fri to somewhere about 30 minutes away. I walk to work mind you. And a bus wouldn't really be an option for morning shifts and Ubers and lifts are like $30 ONE WAY. my roommate can pick me up when she gets off work but she goes in too early to take me to work as well and next week I'm scheduled 3 morning shifts. Opening. I let her know before she went on leave that I was moving and once I moved, I couldn't do mornings. I also kind of can't work with one of the racists (I may be white, but even I take offense at her calling our Hispanic customers "dirty") at my store cause I've stopped taking her BS and we now argue. So I messaged my manager about those 3 days and she just she's on leave so I'll have to find someone to swap or cover. But I genuinely wouldn't even know how to ask that in a way that's like,"hey, I can't spend the $90 it would take to come into these 3 shifts, could anyone swap? Also I can't work (employees name)" like I get this is a hole that was dug by me but I genuinely don't know what to do if no one can cover 🙃 I'm applying to other jobs and calling around but I haven't found another job yet

Manager hired a girl to start on mother's day with 0 warning

So this past mother's Day I told my coworker I'd come in at 1pm instead of 115pm so she could leave a little early to spend time with her kids. Well I get there and I realize my shift has been changed to 315pm. The coworker I was coming to replace comes outside to smoke with me and she says,"So I wasn't alone today until noon like I thought. SM scheduled a girl for her first day without telling me so I was not prepared to train anyone." She then proceeds to tell that it's this girls FIRST MOTHERS DAY. She has a baby at home! And then her next shift? She called in. Idk what the thought process was to not inform anyone of a change that big. Like ofc when I'm looking for a schedule change, I'm not looking for the hours themselves to have changed, but the days. I ended up saying,"Fuck it" and I clocked in at 115pm and told my coworker to go home anyway and if SM questioned it, I'd tell her exactly why I did what I did and my thoughts on it.

Why do people not carry IDs???

So I'm an employee and ofc we LEGALLY have to ID everyone when the computer asks for it, especially for alcohol and cigarettes. So why the actual hell does no one carry an ID or get pissy about being asked. Like no one's job is less important than your beer or cigs, just show your ID. Listen, I personally don't care if it's expired as long as it's your face and birthday. I'll enter it manually if I have to. But why are so many people driving around without IDs??? So many people will look at me and go,"I don't bring my ID with me when I leave home" what happens when you get pulled over or something? Like?

And don't get me started on the people that are mad we now ID for like pop-its and sparklers and lighters.

EDIT: Yesterday a Hispanic customer basically called me racist for asking for his ID for pop-its and Sparklers. He said,"No one else ID me. You have a personal thing." I tried to show him that my computer was asking me for ID but he just stormed out grumbling about making a complaint. Mind you he said he had it in the car.
