FR965 for $640 CAD or FR970 for $900 CAD

As the price says. Been looking to upgrade my FR255 for a while, and prices are raking into account that I have a $150 amazon gift card as well.

Honestly, leaning towards the 970 solely because of the glass. Having a sapphire screen is such an awesome upgrade, especially since I do trail running / lots of camping and hiking. Flashlight is a good bonus too.

My main question is pretty much can someone convince me otherwise? Why should I go for the 965 over the 970?

HKU 3000-level CS Courses

Wondering if there are any 3000+ level CS courses at HKU with no final exams? Have a trip planned in mid December, and would ideally like to get away with no finals (I’m good w midterms, though).

Any insight would be appreciated!!

New Forerunner Models?

I’m not too tapped into the upcoming Garmin launches, but was wondering if we could be seeing a new Forerunner line release soon (or even if rumours have floated around)?

I’ve had my 255 for a few years ands it’s been fantastic, but I’m looking to upgrade to something that looks and feels a bit more premium (likely the 970). Is now a good time to upgrade? What’s the Garmin launch calendar like?

Are MFE Programs Still Relevant?

I’m a student going into my final year of studies at a top Canadian school. Studied computer science + finance (two separate undergraduate degrees), and did very well in both. Strong extra curricular and work experience in S&T, etc.

I’m not specifically looking to break into “quant” trading, but would like to do a US Masters degree for the purpose of expanding my maths knowledge and feel comfortable working on a more technical trading desk (buy or sell side).

I’ve heard mixed opinions on MFEs in general recently. Some say they’re outdated programs, some say they’re great, some say do traditional math / stats if you’re not looking to go into QR/QT.

Curious to hear some opinions on what the current state of US MFEs is, as well as some other non-MFE options that may set me up well.

Straps for Aquaracer WBP1110?

Hoping to get some advice on a third party (or Tag-branded) rubber strap for my WBP1110.

I’ve had this watch for years and loved it - but I want to switch up the look by getting a black rubber strap. ADs have told me they don’t make them for this watch, and even though they have the solar graph (WBP1112) that’s also 40mm, I was told the curvature of the watch is slightly different and it won’t work.

Has anyone had any luck with a rubber strap for this model? Price isn’t too much of an issue, as id even be happy to get a strap from tag if it fit nicely.

thanks in advance!
