Recently got into the game Island I know for a fact I have good internet but I've noticed that the servers on this game especially the casual servers feel extremely laggy. Is this a normal thing for the game?

So not too long ago I paid my deposit fee to confirm my spot for the September semester but when I click on the mystudent portal and I check my financial account it still says- $250. Has anyone else experienced a problem like this
