AZO questions

Hey guys, I'm having a pretty bad flare for the first time in 4/5 years (very lucky to have been in remission that long with the help of bladder instillations!) and it's been about a month and nothing has really helped. So, after doing some reading on here I ordered some AZO maximum strength and had a couple of questions about people's experiences with it. I've taken two doses today and it seems to be helping - not completely but definitely 50% or so. And no nausea or headaches so far. When people have taken it have they experienced nausea pretty quickly? And how long have you taken it for, if it was helping? Thanks everyone

Bladder instillation causing worst flare in ages! (Usually they help a lot)

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to see if anyone had a similar experience to me and what they did about it. I've been getting bladder instillations for about ten years. They really changed my life! Did the intensives a couple of times and then will have them every 2 months as maintenance or if I am having a flare. My doctor is really flexible and has been great. Anyway, I had a treatment about 2 weeks ago and it was a very uncomfortable catheterisation - I'm usually fine, maybe a little irritation for a day or two, nit that's it. Since then I've been having the worst flare I've had in years! Wondering whether I should go back in and have another instillation or whether that would make things worse? And has anyone had this with a catheter? I don't think it created a false passage as my bladder did drain urine and the pain wasn't severe, just very uncomfortable but my bladder is so irritated now, it's awful. Have been doing all the diet stuff but doesn't seem to be going away on it's own...

Thanks

Help with test results

Hey everyone,

Got these results today - obviously does say I have IMO but I guess looking to see how severe people think this is? I've seen a lot of people say 20+ppm after 90 mins is the standard for hydrogen and this test doesn't show 90 but my result at 80 is under?

Also, a bit confused by the combined score? Both of my individual scores seem to be under the limit this tests asks for but then my combined is way over?

Also, weirdly this test was done while doing other stuff as don't seem to have many symptoms aligned with SIBO/IMO. No constipation, bloating or abdominal pain. Some nausea but I always figured that was more to do with reflux...

What do people think?

Hey everyone, so I saw an ENT today and he did a nasendoscopy which in his clinic notes he said:

"On examination, I can see no abnormality in your oropharynx, I can feel no abnormality in your neck, and with my flexible Nas-endoscope, I've got a clear view of a normal upper aerodigestive tract. I may be able to see some thickening of your interarytenoid area, but it's very close to being an entirely normal examination."

Do people think this means I DON'T have LPR? Obviously, I don't necessarily want anything to be wrong but this seems to point towards a nerve problem as I have constant globus and burning/tight throat. Not sure what to do next. I tried asking him about nerve damage but he said 'the throat doesn't really get neuralgia problems like other parts of the body' which just seems wrong?

Pretty down about the findings.

Hey, I saw a gastro today as I've been having issues with reflux for the past year. He has suggested doing a SIBO breath test, which was something I wasn't really expecting as I don't feel like I have much symptom alignment from what I've read about it? What are your predominant symptoms with SIBO? I do get nausea (but that's a fairly common acid reflux symptom) but no bloating at all, no excess gas or abdominal pain and bowel movements are generally normal. Does this sound like SIBO to you? Would love to know people's experiences.

Thanks!
