More trees in oblivion worldspace

Figured out how to make the trees more varied according to the type of tree it was meant to be in oblivion. I just used some trees from tamriel_data and Morrowind itself that looked similar to the types of trees in oblivion! Not perfect yet but it's so much better than an empty landscape!

Figured out how to put trees in oblivions world space

Been using openmws ability to read render oblivions world space mainly to walk around it in VR but the lack of trees in the world really hurt the experience. So I decided to start fixing that. I was able to make a program that read the oblivion esm file that outputted a lua file with the x y z coordinates, scale and type identifier of every single tree in the original games world space. I then wrote a lua mod that renders in a tree in each coordinate if the tree is within a certain radius of the cell the player is in. As of right now, I have one tree from the Morrowind base game set to render in each spot according to its location and scale but since every tree also has its identifier in the code along with its coordinates, I should be able to make it more varied pretty easily by associating each or a group of oblivions unique tree ids to one of morrowinds base trees. For now this is just a proof of concept but I'm really happy with the results so far!

If anyone can figure out how to rip oblivions tree meshes I figure u could use this to input the actual tree mesh into its correct place for every tree in the world but for now I'm happy with morrowinds trees

Playing flat screen PC games on quest at 120Hz is amazing and I can't believe how cumbersome it is to set up

This has bothered me for months. I couldn't understand why Virtual Desktop wouldn't let me set my virtual monitors refresh rate to match the headsets refresh rate at 120Hz as its locked to 60Hz. My PC is plugged into a 60Hz display so it makes sense but I couldn't believe that there was no way to adjust that for the virtual display.

Then I realized Steam Link could do flat screen 2D streaming and you could set your virtual monitor's refresh rate to match the clients in steams remote play settings. However, Quest's home environments (passthrough or virtual environments) are stuck at 72Hz so even 60Hz streaming on Steam Link is a stutter mess!

But I finally found a solution and its Quest Game Optimizer. You can set the Home Environment to 120Hz and then run Steam Link with the remote play settings to match the client refresh rate, set the game you wanna play in your settings to run at 120 fps and bam! It actually works and it's fantastic! Anyone who has been playing 2D games on a virtual screen through Steam Link or Virtual Desktop without 120Hz is sorely missing out!

Why is this not allowed by default though? Why does Steam Link not give you the option in the Quest app to run at 120Hz? Why does Virtual Desktop not allow you adjust the virtual display refresh rate? Why do I have to jump through so many hoops for this?

Maybe I'm stupid and there's an easier way to set this up but dam, someone has gotta get on this to make it more accessible.

Ok so been working on a project for my wife that involves the phrase that's engraved on our wedding rights. The phrase is "always better together". I want to have it written in Tengwar but i also want it to be in Quenya.

I was using Tecendil to do this and according to it the phrase translated to Quenya is "illumë arya uo" and putting that into Tecendil I get the image I posted.

Can anyone confirm that I did this right? Am I using the correct translations for the phrase and are the words in the right sequence? And is the writing in Tengwar correct (I believe it is but just to be sure)
