Police say investigations are ongoing and have questioned several people, including members of the PS’s security team. A post-mortem confirmed Cecil died from a single gunshot wound, while ballistic analysis continues.
No one has yet been found criminally responsible, and no official investigation has concluded that PS Fikirini shot or ordered the shooting.
But here’s the bigger question:
How does a young political mobilizer end up dead around a government official’s convoy, and Kenyans are still waiting for a clear account of what happened?
