Systems showcase for my project
Hey all, just wanted to share a video of some of the systems I've been working on for my grid-based action RPG. I took a lot of inspiration from Mega Man Battle Network and Guild Wars (1).
You will be able to create your own character from 10 professions (and eventually choose 1 secondary profession and choose which skills to add to your skill deck.
Seen here is the Sanguimancer, a mage profession that uses health as a resource. Many of their skills use a unique resource called Blood Orbs. Up to 10 can be generated at one time and each one generated decreases their max health by 5%.
The Sanguimancer is able to summon Blood Constructs that will either attack independently or can be wielded by the summoner to replace their currently equipped weapon. They will also be able to summon Wells from Blood Drops that have an AOE effect.
Map traversal will have platforming elements and each profession will have unique ways in which they can interact/traverse the environment.
