Lenovo LOQ buyers — which one would YOU pick in 2026? (i5 + 3050 vs Ryzen 7 + 3050 vs i7 + 4050)

Hey everyone,

I’m about to buy a Lenovo LOQ for college + gaming + long-term use (4–5 years) and the pricing right now has completely destroyed my decision making 😭

These are the three options I’ve narrowed it down to:

i5-12450HX + RTX 3050 (6GB) + 24GB RAM + 512GB SSD — ₹83,990

Ryzen 7 170 + RTX 3050 (6GB) + 16GB RAM + 512GB SSD — ₹99,991

i7-13650HX + RTX 4050 (6GB) + 16GB RAM + 512GB SSD — ₹1,05,991

My usage

Coding / development

Robotics / ML

College work & projects

Light video editing

Casual → moderate gaming

Everyone says:

RTX 4050 = huge jump over 3050

DLSS 3 + Frame Gen + newer architecture = more future proof

BUT…

Once laptops cross ₹1L, they stop feeling like value purchases.

Meanwhile the i5 model giving 24GB RAM at ₹84K looks insanely tempting for productivity.

So now I’m stuck between:

Save money + more RAM

Better CPU

Better GPU & future proofing

Real questions for LOQ owners / buyers

Is RTX 4050 actually worth paying ₹20K extra?

Does RTX 3050 already feel outdated in 2026?

How are LOQ thermals, fan noise, and build quality long term?

Any motherboard/heating issues I should worry about?

Does HX processor battery life suck in real usage?

If you were buying TODAY — which one would you choose?

I’m planning to keep this laptop for the next 4–5 years, so I really don’t want to regret this purchase.

Would genuinely appreciate advice from real users 🙏

Need help choosing between these HP Victus laptops after the recent price hike 😭

Hey everyone,
I’m planning to buy a gaming/work laptop for long-term use (around 4–5 years), but the recent price hikes completely messed up my decision 😭

These are the options I’m currently considering:

  1. Ryzen 7 7445HS + RTX 4050 + 16GB RAM + 512GB SSD — ₹1.18L
  2. Ryzen 7 7445HS + RTX 3050 + 16GB RAM + 512GB SSD — ₹1.09L
  3. Intel Core 5 210H + RTX 3050 + 24GB RAM + 512GB SSD — ₹93K

My usage will be:

  • Coding / development
  • College work
  • Robotics and applications
  • Some video editing
  • Casual to moderate gaming
  • General multitasking with lots of tabs/apps open

What’s confusing me is whether the RTX 4050 is still worth paying extra for at these current prices, especially since the hike is huge now. From what I’ve seen online, people generally say the 4050 is noticeably better than the 3050 because of DLSS 3, better efficiency, and 6GB VRAM.

At the same time, I’ve also seen people saying that once these laptops cross the ₹1L mark, they stop feeling like “value” buys anymore.

So I wanted real owner/user opinions:

  • Is the RTX 4050 actually worth the extra money here?
  • How are thermals, build quality, and battery on these Victus models?
  • Is the Ryzen 7 version significantly better than the Core 5 one in daily use?
  • If you were buying today with these inflated prices, which one would you pick?
  • Or should I just wait for a sale?

Would really appreciate honest reviews and long-term experiences 🙏
