Do you take metformin as a T1D?
I’ve been getting mixed messages from doctors and other diabetics who have different opinions on if T1Ds should take metformin. I was taking metformin for a while per an earlier doctor‘s recommendation, then a new endo was like, omg why are you on metformin, its dangerous for T1Ds to take it. So she has been weaning me off of it in favor of more insulin. But now I’m hearing in the news it’s good for T1Ds to take it… what do you all do?
