Tonie Box?

Looking for advice, would you consider the tonie box as screen time? We are currently screen free for our 17 month old and 2 month old except for FaceTime calls with grandparents and such. Our 17 month old is obsessed with the tonie box and pretty much wants her animals or music playing from it 24/7. Most of the time she puts it on as essentially her background noise and plays with other things while the music plays so it acts more like the soundtrack to her playtime, which I don’t mind, but does this cause the same addiction that screens do? What do we think? Should we be limiting time with that as well?

Dropping pumps when sensitive to mastitis?

When were you able to go longer stretches between pumps? I’ve been pumping every 2-3 hours around the clock since birth (2 weeks pp) and lactation consultant said I could do a 5 hour stretch in the night, well low and behold when I woke up from that sleep I was so engorged and could feel several clogged ducts, it took me 4 full days to finally get out of the engorgement and clogs with constant icing, Advil, sunflower lecithin and going back to pumping every 2-3 hours around the clock. With my first baby I got mastitis in week 3 pp also trying to take one slightly longer sleep stretch and it killed my supply so much I just switched to formula.

Was anyone successful at stretching the time between pumps who is sensitive to clogs and mastitis and how long did it take to be able to successfully stretch?

Medela symphony maintain vs initiate tips?

Hi there! I am about 2 days postpartum and my baby is in the NICU. I am pumping at home with the medela symphony on the initiate mode currently. The lactation consultants to me to switch to the maintain mode after I can produce a combined 20mls two times in a row. I am not there yet but my milk is on the verge of coming in, I’ve gotten between 10-18 mls in all five of my last pumps.

I’m wondering do I switch now or keep going on the initiate mode longer? And once I switch to maintain, do I just turn it on and let it fun the whole time or do I need to switch back and forth? One lactation consultant said to turn it to your max volume and leave it for 15 minutes, and one said to toggle back and forth every minute.

Those who have used this what works best in your experience?
