Hey everyone,

I’m currently looking at the Xperia 1 V because I absolutely love the form factor, the camera, and especially the side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

However, I know that older Xperia models (like the 1 III and 1 IV) had issues with the fingerprint sensor suddenly dying or disappearing from the settings menu after a year or two of usage.

For those of you who have owned the Xperia 1 V for a year or longer:

• Is your fingerprint sensor still working perfectly?
• Have you experienced any intermittent drops, heating issues around the power button, or hardware failures?
• If yours did break, did Sony fix it under warranty, or did you have to switch phones?

I really want to buy this phone, but I want to know if Sony actually fixed the hardware issue on the V generation.
