NHL has lot of Russian talent but judging from Youtube highlights Kaprizov seems to be the most popular out of all of Russian players. Of course Youtube is not the ideal meter so is he really the most popular or no?
I love a good forum, but the thread format is outdated.
The thing I really enjoyed about forums was seeing peoples personalized bubbles with quotes in funny fonts, profile pictures you can actually see that have cool art, a rank, links to their myspace or livejournal, when they joined and their post count (both of which you can see but you have to hover your cursor).
I think on some you could even change the colour of the background? It was a homelier, more open web. Kind of like the difference between a local mom and pop store and a big box copy and paste...

I don't know why I lament this since I never really did it myself, but I miss getting a letter in the mail that was from a friend or even a business.
There's something... authentic? Exciting about holding an actual envelope with a stamp and receiving something handwritten (!) and addressed to you.
I think fan mail is something super cool and for me DM'ing a celeb isn't the same.
Maybe I just don't like electronics but I enjoy seeing houses with the classic mailbox at the side of the road. Very American suburbia. Now you just pull up your phone but it's annoying because it means people can bug you 24/7 and there's no suspense.
