I haven't played Genesys in a bit due to my locals not hosting it, but they recently switched from only doing bi-weekly Advanced to Genesys on non-Advanced weekends, so I brought out my favorite deck for Genesys!

A major note about the list is that I don't have access to the new Kitt at the moment, as I've not been playing Yugioh much at all lately. But with my locals now doing Genesys every other week, I'll probably pick that up to add to the list.

Matchups were:

✅️🎲 2-0 vs HERO
❌️🎲 2-1 vs Fairy Tail
❌️🎲 0-2 vs FK Snake-Eyes w/ Jurrac
✅️🎲 2-1 vs Invoked Chimera

The most frequent struggle for me today was opening multiple normal summons or monsters that could only extend if I had access to Albaz/a way to dump Albaz. Biggest example of this was against FK Snake-Eyes where both G1 and G2 I opened no extenders, I found myself getting Veilered on my normal summon and passing, and they set up double Meteor G2.

Invoked Chimera was also a really scary matchup, as I think I ultimately only won because I got lucky winning the die roll. G1 I got Fuwa'd and Purulia'd and played through it decently and topdecked better than they did to keep momentum. G2 they performed full combo and ripped out Dogma/Ecclesia/Lubellion from my Extra Deck, then interrupted my normal summon and I had to scoop since I only opened one extender and it folded quickly. G3 I got Fuwa'd and Purulia'd again, but was able to play through it decently and opened/searched enough non-engine to stop their plays and push for lethal Turn 3.

I ended up getting 4th overall after tiebreakers, as all of top 4 were 3-1. I really loved playing this list and I'm hoping to tune it some more to keep playing Genesys!

No one expects the Rain Dance, apparently! As far as missing or getting burned... Just believe it won't happen, it's that easy.
