RYM has been a breath of fresh air these last few years while trying to navigate a digital realm heavily impacted by social media curation. Despite this I feel like I am over relying on it despite finding a lot of great records on there. I was curious which other music resources y'all use to discover music outside of RYM. RYM is a great tool but I want to diversify you know?

I went back to my high school years and listened to some Pink Floyd and rated Meddle for my 1,000th rating.
Just a friendly reminder that you can use Small Picture Mode to avoid the social mediafication of Steam/gaming in general. I also dislike the new UI/Menus and this seems like a solid solution to that for the meanwhile.
Please list your albums that you like that are in that 3.4-3.5 range. There are some great albums that are in that pre-bold range. For one reason or another these albums have not made it over the hump.
Title is pretty straight forward.
I am pretty surprised how different Prog Rock and Prog Metal are in terms of tropes, stylings, tunings, etc. Maybe this is a very captain obvious but I am looking for more bands like Blood Incantation/Opeth than say an Animals as Leaders type of thing. Dream Theater is another example of this in terms of taking influences from rock and bringing them to metal.
Does anyone have any recommendations?
