Why is Post-Rock mentioned two times?

And American Football is js one of the examples.

Also, what is the difference between bolded and not bolded genre tags? Are the 'thin' ones referring to the influences?

After about 8 years since I decided to actively seek out music and listen to albums in full I’ve hit 3,000 ratings

How should I add a track with an invisible Unicode character in its title?

I wanted to add an EP, but noticed that the first track has one of those invisible/blank symbols. I've read through the rules regarding adding music, and it says that it's discouraged to use symbols that don't follow basic QWERTY Unicode. So, my question is, how do I add that track with its title?

Albums with exactly one genre tag. What are some other examples of this?

Is this rare? I feel like it is. Maybe it is not.

One of my Favorite RYM features is the Music Map!

Heres my own map, I want to fill the map more so I'm asking for good suggestions of musicians from China, Russia (Around the areas of the country not represented on my map) etc.

I dreamed there was a music genre called alien invasion

The entire genre was concept albums about alien invasions and abductions. They could be any genre, but they were usually folk or country.

There were three albums by different bands that were considered the “big three” of the genre, but I don’t remember what any of them were called. They were all from the early to mid 2000s and had covers like picrel except they were psychedelic paintings. On rateyourmusic.com they all had scores in the low threes, yet somehow all three of them had multiple bolded tracks (meaning they were in the top 10,000 songs of all time according to users of the site).

Pretentiousified my rating curve so it's more even

And because i dont see much of a reason making distinctions in my ratings between different albums that do nothing for me anyways

Quintessential "Dad Rock" genres?

I scoured through Southern Rock, Pub Rock, Swamp Rock and Hard Rock. All of those have major exceptions. Which genre(s) are practically the closest synonym to "dad rock"?

What artists seen as "RYM-core" is actually not RYM-core?

I would say Swans. i heard first about them on RYM (i'm a Gen Z guy) and i thought this band was RYM-core, but apparently, they are not RYM-core. They were been around a long time and were pretty huge before RYM was created in 2000. they have many Gen X and Boomers fans

I also believed Ninajirachi was rym-core, but i learned that recently, she exploded in popularity in her native country Australia and she get more and more popular on the EDM scene in North America.

I search especially for artists that many people believe they are popular only on the internet when they have actual popularity offline.

Appreciate the AI notice

I have no desire to engage with AI “music” so I appreciate it being labelled like this

What is the single most RYM-core album of all time?

An album whose notoriety online is 99% attributed to RYM. Like if someone said it was their favorite album you would know for a FACT that they found it on RYM

Some potential candidates:

Various Artists - The Fire This Time

Ground-Zero - Revolutionary Pekinese Opera

Natural Snow Buildings - The Winter Ray

Maria & The Mirrors - Vision Quest
