Looking For Christian Dating Advice!

Hello! I 30(M) am looking for advice on dating as a Christian. Background about me, I committed my life to Christ when I was 18 years old and then publicly announced it through Baptism. I went on and off in belief after that for a while but I have come to a much secure place in my faith since then. I was looking for a godly relationship/wife for a long time (WITHOUT PRAYER), I know insane. I used the typical avenues of dating apps (Christian and secular) and honestly that's about it. Here are my questions...

  1. Besides sitting behind a screen on a dating app how can I purse Christian women in a godly manner?

  2. I am finally attending church on Sundays on a regular basis, I am trying to be more disciplined about prayer and scripture reading, I'm growing my relationship with Jesus, and I'm joining a small group to be with other believers!

  3. Can anyone (married, single, divorced, dating, anyone) impart some wisdom on me that can help me in my process of pursing a godly woman?

I can provide more context or answer questions if need. Feel free to private message me too. Thanks!

Bible Availability

Just a random question that is giving me anxiety.

Let's say you lose all of your material possessions in your life. Is it ever possible to completely lose access to God's Word (the Bible)?

Deconstruction Outline

Hey everyone!! It's super early in the morning but I'm awake and having my coffee as I write out an outline for my deconstruction 🙂. Last night before bed I was having thoughts again about leaving the Christian faith and after sleeping on it I am pretty set on following this path.

I made a post last night about my situation and I got some really helpful replies on there.

I'm writing out an outline about my deconstruction because it helps me get my thoughts out and organized. I won't go into extreme detail but I'm writing out questions like "why do I want to deconstruct from Christianity?", "how will I practically take steps to deconstruct?", etc. I'm giving myself a lot of grace in this process but I just wanted to update y'all on here.

I feel like I can go here for support if I need to.

Hope

Hey everyone. I've been having the internal STRUGGLES lately. Raised Christian, went on and off, got baptized, went on and off, started attending church and reading the Bible more (and that's where I'm currently at). Now, I've deconstructed before but then I end up going back. I think it's so deeply ingrained within my mind, soul, heart, etc.

I'd like to hear from someone who has been "officially" deconstructed for over 5 years.

  1. How did you completely detach?

  2. Did you turn to a different belief system?

  3. What struggles did you face through the process?

  4. Is there hope after leaving the faith?
