Hey everyone! Levi's put their 1953 type ii selvedge jacket on sale for 50% off and I'm hoping to get some help with sizing. I tried on the 42 and it fits like a glove, the 44 feels incredibly boxy. I bought both with the idea to return one but just want some advice. I'm worried that if the 42 shrinks at all then I'm screwed but also worried that the 44 won't shrink properly to fit like the 42. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I’ve never been a fan of flat card holders so when I saw a folding one, I really liked it. However, I wants to modify it before offering it so that way it was “mine”. I love when pattern makers allow you to sell their patterns, especially when beginning but I wanted to tweak it. My solution? The wave pocket. A lot of people liked it on my vertical so I thought I’d try it here. I personally love how it turned out, sort of an optical illusion where you think the fold line is off centre until you go to actually use it. Thanks for looking!

Hey everybody! Showcased here is the Conceria La Bretagna Ghost Paglia wallet that I made for myself a month ago. This is to show how it’s aged. I’ve carried it exclusively, not every day but most. Mainly by itself but sometimes with other items. In my opinion I think it’s aged beautifully but I’d love to know what you think. Thanks for looking!

Hey everyone! I posted this wallet 1 month ago to the day. When I posted, I had folks ask me to update them with how it’s patinad so here it is! For context, I like to carry my wallet in my back pocket by itself. There has been times where it was mixed with other items or in my front so that might’ve sped up the process. Overall I love how it looks. Also, that weird texture on the front of the wallet in a small spot was a result of me stamping my logo and the punch pad I used underneath imprinted on the leather. That is NOT normal for ghost leather, my mistake. Thanks for looking!

Hey everyone! I just made my first half of my first strap and I’m hoping to get some advice. This is made with 2/3 oz Italian veg tan leather for the top, 1oz goat skin for the liner and .4mm salamander reinforcement for inside. I made it using the shown templates. I made sure to mark my center lines so that my reinforcement material was straight. It has about a 3.5mm gap around the edges so it wouldn’t impede with stitching or show on the outside since I didn’t use edge paint yet. I ran into the following issues.

Symmetry: It doesn’t exactly look symmetrical anymore, almost has a slight curve. It was straight after glue up but it seemed to curve after stitching. I also noticed my stitching wasn’t symmetrical despite starting from the bottom centre hole and working my way up either side.

Flimsy: it feels a bit flimsy despite using the .4mm salamander reinforcement and the veg tan leather.

Any advice would be really appreciated before I start the buckle side. Thank you in advance!
