I'm loving hearing what everyone's been doing with the premade sims and the storylines you've been making from what Maxis started! I've still got my same game from when I was younger and can't bear to leave the Pleasantview families that I created years ago. But I definitely didn't think about storylines back then, and that's one thing I wish I'd done differently with the premades as some of them had pretty vanilla lives!

My main aim was always family-building, but they all had so many children that playing rotationally was slow to build up the generations. How far did you get with the premade sims?

I'm reminded as I'm currently playing the romance-sim son of Brandi's third boy (I named Brock) on his way to 10 romances at once; the other Brokes are on grandchildren, whilst Don and Nina and Dina (RIP) are on great grandchildren and Cassandra and Darren Goth's descendants just welcomed their great-great grandson Greyson into the world! At this point, everybody's well related to everybody else! 😂

I passed my test last month and so far have had a few drives by myself in my own car, mostly the commute about half an hour for work and back via my kids’ nursery once or twice a week. I’m starting to get more confident in everyday situations like rush hour traffic and choosing where to park etc

It’s got to the point now that I get out my car at the end of the day and I want to get back in and go for a ‘drive’, just like drive for fun without worrying about getting to a destination at a certain time. But I have no idea what to do or how to start going about doing this. It’s just…an urge, y’know, to spend time in my car feeling how it works with me.

(If you’d asked me 6 months ago, I never would’ve said I like driving!)

Any ideas? I live in the suburbs of a medium-sized city, just within its major ring road. I feel pretty confident on dual carriageways, but I’m wondering if country roads would be better for driving for fun/the scenic route.
