The facial resemblance, the similar outfits, the makeup, the earrings, the curly hair, the singing/musical ability, the two first names. She’s matching with her Auntie! She was perfectly casted. I cannot wait to see Whitney Peak as LD!

My previous post about this was taken down, so I will go into more detail about it here. (BTW I am not hating on Molly McCann or Iona Bell, they are both talented actresses, this is just my opinion). Coming from someone who is not black, while reading, I pictured Louella as a small black or mixed girl, with olive/caramel skin, curly black braids, and lighter eyes. Similar to Rue, but with braids. I would also like to point out how Haymitch never said Katniss looks exactly like how Louella looked, she said her braids, intellect, and toughness reminded him of her. That does not imply they are the same exact person in their physical appearance. For example, Katniss said that Rue reminded her of Prim, and they both have different features. The photo I attached of a younger Jaidyn Triplett and this art by @_noxumbra is the general idea of how I imagined her. LMK how you imagined her.
