High impressions for a low CTR video and very low impressions for a high CTR video, don't understand why?

Hi, I'm a robotics and Al content creator. The videos are quite technical demos and screen recorded tutorials. Although the niece is pretty small, there isn't a lot of crowd, and I've seen channels do well even with a small number of videos (>15)

I had two videos, one which I packaged as quite generic and massy. It got to almost 6.5k impressions with a CTR of just 1%

In my latest video, I was more intentional and packaged so that my core audience will resonate. The CTR for this video was around 10% but youtube didn't push this video at all. Overall I've gotten like less than 200 impressions on this video.

I don't understand why YouTube would do that? Doesn't a good CTR mean that youtube show this to more people?

I am attaching screenshots of both the videos.

My channel link: https://youtube.com/@bharatjain26?si=yAypOQK\_fnVW8LkF

I would greatly appreciate any advice or insights if you've seen something before. I would love to understand where I'm going wrong, and try to fix that!

Testing Gemma 4 for edge application on Jetson Orin Nano

I wanted to test how good is the new Gemma 4 model for practical edge applications (including tool usage, image labelling and audio transcription)

I tested the tool usage through the ROS-MCP server. The LLM was able to publish to ROS topics to complete the intended goal.

I also made it transcribe a 6 minute audio file from one of my old videos and it performed amazingly in that as well.

What's more surprising is that it's just a 2.3 billion effective reasoning model, runs locally on a 8GB device and provides impressive 15-17 tokens/sec.

Would love to know your thoughts on this? Has anyone here tried using gemma 4 on their jetson Nano? If yes, what did you do and how was your experience?

Semantic Navigation and Memory with Nav2 and ROS2

Hey everyone, wanted to share my project on semantic navigation where a robot can explore a simulated living room, remember what it has seen, and later navigate using natural-language object goals instead of coordinates.

For example, after exploration, you can ask it something like:

>

The system retrieves a remembered viewing pose for the object and sends a deterministic Nav2 goal.

Stack used:

  • ROS 2 Humble
  • Nav2
  • SLAM Toolbox
  • Ignition Gazebo Fortress
  • rosbridge / ROS-MCP
  • SQLite + JSON semantic memory
  • RGB camera, LiDAR, IMU, odometry in simulation

The idea was to move beyond “go to x, y” navigation and test a more semantic workflow:

  1. Robot explores the room
  2. Camera observer stores object captures
  3. Semantic memory keeps object labels and poses
  4. User asks for an object in natural language
  5. Robot navigates near the remembered object location using Nav2

It’s still a simulation demo, but I think this kind of object-based navigation is a useful bridge between classical robotics stacks and newer language/vision-based interfaces.

Video demo/tutorial:
https://youtu.be/Cj4dYQ7BuUw

Code:
https://github.com/itsbharatj/demos-ros-mcp-server/tree/example_10_semantic_navigation/10_semantic_navigation

Would love feedback from people working on robot navigation, semantic mapping, or VLM/LLM-based robotics systems. I’m especially curious about better ways to represent the semantic memory and make the object-goal selection more robust.

Hey, this has been my experience where using agentic coding workflows like claude and codex I have faced several limitations and I believe they are not there yet for robotics.

Curious, how has your experience been with agentic tools for robotics and where are the biggest challenges you've faced?
