We started trying for baby number 2 in may, I kept getting negatives and then had an episode of pain in my lowers right hip that ended in an emergency room trip which discovered a whopping 9.5 cm dermoid cyst on my right ovary. I went and seen a OBGYN about it they recommended laparoscopic surgery to remove it she said it wasn’t urgent I probably experienced intermittent twisting but she didn’t recommend waiting either. So plot twist just as we’re deciding to stop trying until after my surgery I get a positive test July 19th lol. I’m now 5 weeks pregnant, the cyst hasn’t caused me any more pain so far since that emergency room visit but I’m almost positive with a growing uterus it will happen again. The pain that sent me to the ER was not new to me it was just a bad one that lasted longer than usual. The first episode I had I was actually about 12 weeks pregnant with my son 3 years ago and ever since I’ve felt it every few months but blamed it on trapped gas and it would go away after about 20 minutes they never saw it on any ultrasounds with my son either.
I have an appointment next week with my OB again to discuss the plan now so I’ll have answers then but the anxiety is eating me up according to google they do perform laparoscopic surgery on pregnant women safely in the second trimester and I’m thinking I definitely want to do it if they recommend it to get rid of this thing so I can just enjoy being pregnant and not have to think about it anymore, go through that pain again or risk torsion. I also heard it’s an higher risk if I end up getting it done due to an emergency. Has anyone experienced something similar or known anyone to get this kind of surgery while pregnant? Side note I have never even had surgery I’m 23 years old I know it’s considered “minimally invasive” but the thought still freaks me out and being pregnant on top of this has made me terrified.
First time seeing a movie in theaters so close to opening day we are stoked, we’re going tomorrow night and I’m curious if anyone can tell me chances of the popcorn buckets already being sold out by tomorrow night😩 or do they usually last at least a few days?
