Marketing Advantage of an On-Device, Off-Grid App?

A few years ago I was in a store and saw a shirt I really liked at a department store and a few minutes later I was served up an ad for that exact shirt. It freaked me out at the time, but now I realize that was the beginning of location-based ads and it was very, very accurate.

Now, I'm wondering how AI could change marketing in that regard. Obviously, AI is a battery hog and hard to utilize effectively on edge devices, but presumably things like Ambient Scientific's processor are going to greatly increase efficiency and battery life, making on-device AI usage more possible.

With all this in mind, how do you see location-based or on-device AI advertising evolving over the next few years? What is the next step in geo-marketing?

I saw a post on another sub claiming that everyone is using AI now. So, my question is, is everyone really? What specifically are you doing with AI in your marketing campaigns? Blog posts? Website copy? Videos? Images? Anyone still using royalty-free stock for images? Does anyone still find their UGC creators through Billo or r/UGCforBrands or direct through socials? Is anyone still using work-for-hire writers or writing their own company blog posts? Nothing wrong with some AI help, but there have to be gaps in its current marketing ability, right?

Is everyone really using AI?

Based on the recent question about growth channels that claims everyone is using AI now, is everyone really? What are you using AI for in your marketing? Blog posts? Copy? Videos? Images? Is anyone still using royalty-free stock for images? Anyone still finding their UGC creators through Billo or r/UGCforBrands? Anyone still using work-for-hire writers or even writing their own blog posts? Have we all really gone straight AI?

Recently decided that I want to get into using UGC ads to amp up my social media ads and stumbled upon Billo in the process. That led me to JoinBrands and Collabstr. I think using something like this is a good idea cause I don't have the budget for a full-service agencpy and I don't have the time to manually do all this on my own. So: Billo, Collabstr or JoinBrands to find UGC creators? Has anyone else tried incorporating more UGC into their Meta ads using one of these platforms to make things easier? What was your experience like?
