Catholic wedding mass + venue situation

I’m trying to figure out the venue situation and timeline for my wedding. Our church mass will be at 1:30 on a Saturday, but many venues that I’ve looked into offer the venue for the full day (9am-midnight).

I’m assuming venues offer that timeframe because people have their ceremonies at the venue. Since we’re having a church wedding, I feel like paying for all of that time is unnecessary🙈 I haven’t inquired with any venues about different timeframes, as I wanted to see what other Catholic brides have done in this situation.

Are there other types of venues I should look into aside from the typical “wedding” venues?? If I let them know that’s we’re having a church wedding, are there different prices? I’m in the Houston area so I know there’s definitely options but I’m feeling very overwhelmed with figuring out what will work best for our wedding day.

Adding a diamond to Aggie ring

I’m wanting to add a diamond after I graduate with my masters next spring. I saw that there’s a $16 fee + the cost of the diamond, but there’s not much information on how to start the process.

Has anyone added a diamond to their Aggie ring? What is the process like and how long did it take?
