Best waterproof jackets for hiking that keep rain out without turning into a sauna?

I’ve gone through several rain jackets that claim to be waterproof, but after a few hours of hiking I end up wet anyway. Maybe some of it is sweat, but I’ve also had jackets start wetting out during steady rain. I’m comparing the Patagonia Torrentshell 3L, Outdoor Research Foray II, Marmot PreCip, Black Diamond StormLine, and a cheaper Frogg Toggs setup. My budget is around $100–$350, and I care about real waterproofing, pit zips, pack durability, and being able to reapply the DWR when needed. For long hikes, do the Foray’s huge side zips make a noticeable difference, or is the Torrentshell the safer all-around choice? Also, when a jacket feels wet inside, how do you tell condensation from an actual leak?

Best ergonomic office chairs for working 8–10 hours a day?

I’m replacing a cheap office chair that has started making my lower back and shoulders miserable after long work sessions. I work from home most days, usually sitting for 8–10 hours, so I’m looking for something adjustable and durable rather than a chair that just looks good in photos. I’m comparing the Steelcase Leap V2, Herman Miller Aeron, Mirra 2, Haworth Fern, and maybe a refurbished model around $300–$900. Used chairs seem like the smarter option, but I’m worried about worn-out foam, broken armrests, or missing parts. For people who have owned these for years, which chair is actually comfortable for changing positions instead of forcing perfect posture? And is a refurbished Leap V2 still the best value?

Best baby car seats around $300 that are easy to install?

We’re expecting our first baby and the number of car-seat options is honestly getting ridiculous. I’m looking for something safe, not too heavy, easy to install correctly, and compatible with a stroller if possible. My budget is around $200–$300, and I’ve been comparing the Chicco KeyFit Max, Graco SnugRide, Joie Mint Latch, and Chicco Fit360 if it goes on sale. I’m leaning toward an infant seat for easier transfers, but a convertible seat could make more sense financially. For parents who have used these, which one was easiest to install and carry, and did you actually use the stroller compatibility often?
