Everyone is entitled to their choices, but can anyone explain why so many Americans are wanting to wear kilts?

Other than weddings , pipers and soldiers, I rarely see people in Scotland wearing kilts!

For those that are unsure about the reactions of others, you just have to get past the constant worry about what others think and 'just do it'. It's been a year and I very quickly lost the fear of bright colours.
