Vr 30 Transmission Swap

I replaced my G37 transmission with a VR30 transmission, but now it shifts at 2,000 RPM and causes jerks between 1-2 and 2-3 during city driving. When I drive more aggressively, everything is fine. I suspect the issue is due to early or low RPM shifts, but I’m unsure. Will getting a TCM tune will resolve this?
