Advice needed:

We have two kids (7 and 2). About 2 years ago we threw a neighborhood happy hour and one neighbor brought cocaine over and offered it to my husband. I told him I thought that if that neighbor was bringing it to a neighborhood happy hour he’s probably doing it a lot. My husband shrugged it off and literally told me he thought it was “awesome”.

A little background. When we got together 10 years ago my husband was struggling with a former opioid addiction which took him over 20 years to break. He took suboxone while we were together. He never used it. But one time I found an OxyContin. He swore he wouldn’t ever do it again.

One time he came home from an event for my kid where he visibly had cocaine on his nostril. I freaked out on him. Guess who was there-the dad who brought cocaine to our happy hour. So this is two times but my feeling is that whenever he’s going over to hang out they are doing it. Obviously I don’t want to assume. Now just last night he went to play poker with the fellas. Today he showed me a photo from this guy on his phone and the text above that said “I’ll bring a care package for you”. After some back-and-forth, he admitted that it was cocaine. And that this is normal for people his age. He is 42 by the way, he has started a new and stressful job and says he’s earned it. I am totally flabbergasted. I feel like this has been going on all along, and I have been kept in the dark and that there’s possibly a cocaine addiction brewing. How would I know? I’m very upset and I don’t know how to deal with it. I feel all alone in this because who can I talk to about it… What would you do?

TL;dr husband is casually using cocaine and hiding it from me. We have two kids.

EDIT: adding that we have a stable life and finances with no debt besides a mortgage at 2.75%. We own our cars and have money in the bank. My husband has a stable job and he is excelling at it. But when the weekend comes he thinks he should be allowed to occasionally let loose. I’m not interested in partying like that and I feel like we are growing a part just a little. I’m also vERY sensitive because I know about his past struggles.

I eradicated my H. pylori through a 10 day course of Pylera in September. I confirmed this with a stool antigen test and through colonoscopy and endoscopy. I am still suffering! I no longer have loud audible burping. However, I am still burping often I have cut out caffeine and eat very healthfully. My dentist is freaking out over the lack of enamel on my teeth. I am 47 years old. I don’t know how to get my life back. I had a horrible flareup of gastritis about six months post treatment it felt like I ate crushed glass and it worked its way through my whole digestive track. It lasted five days. I was unable to eat. I don’t know how to heal my stomach lining. I just finished 14 days of Prilosec per my G.I. doctor. Upon finishing the 14 days the acid is back and I am constantly burping. I don’t know what to do anymore. I am open to trying anything that has worked for others. Please let me know.
