Daddy Issues

My dad really betrayed me. Being the lastborn, I was the apple of his eye. Talk about being spoilt like the proper lastborn spoilt kind. They had their issues with my mama but he never seemed like the guy to break his vows. Mzee wa kanisa, fellowship chairman, estate chairman & a man of priorities. After 30yrs of marriage he left us silently. Thought he went for a work trip to Sudan as usual but this time he never came back.

I had just finished highschool. I thought I wouldn't go to Uni but he stepped up. He paid my fees, accommodation & gave me upkeep but meeting is where he drew the line. Our relationship became purely transactional. My sisters had been cut off already & shortly after finishing campus I followed suit.

Don't get me wrong I don't hate him but I don't get what we (his girls) did to be ghosted.

Fast forward to a few months ago, my dad got a stroke & we hadn't heard from the nigga in about 4yrs (since my graduation in 2022). So my sisters & I went to see him & it was very awkward. His new wife was there (the klande he left my mom for) + prior to the stroke they had their ruracio that weekend.

Anyways, we thought they wanted to keep us in the loop cz he's our dad but wapi....they didn't have chumz that's why they (my dad's brothers) reached out. The klande was very petty. She added her middle name as my dad's surname e.g Morris Wanjiku so when we paid for the CT scan & admission, we told the cashier the patient had already been registered but kuangalia tunaambiwa hakuna Morris Kamau.

So we asked my dad & that's when the klande said ameandikisha jina yake. Like TF is that. Kwani anadhani tunamwiba?

It was just wierd to see my dad amekaliwa na that mama yet growing up ni yeye alikuwa ametukalia🤣🤣

Side note: they have a 3yr old son together but the klande has 2 more kids from other men. Kila mtoto na baba yake🤦🏾😅

Stock Stock Stock

I'm a 26 (F) & I don't consider myself a risk taker in fact I like structures, stability & to be in my comfort zone. Ik that's not the ideal combo for growth but oh well thats how I am at the moment. I've been wanting to immerse myself in the stock world since that's part of what i'm working towards in my career but I've been holding back buying any shares. I've researched, thought about it but i've never acted on it.

The other day our lec asked how many people trade and they were like 2 people out of 30. She asked when do we plan to practice what we learn in school. I'm doing CPA so we learn a couple of stuff related to that.

1 month later, i've decided to pick up that challenge and just start. Any advice or tips for a beginner?
