Vertical mount ROG Astral 5090 in HAVN HS420 - Can I use the horizontal sag bracket to prevent right-side sag?

Hello

I’m planning to switch my ROG Astral RTX 5090 to vertical mounting in my HS420 (VGPU version). The card is a beast and I’ve seen a few builds where heavy 5090s (especially Astral) sag noticeably to the right/outer side when mounted vertically.

Right now I’m running it horizontally with the official HAVN horizontal sag bracket, which works great.

My question is:

Can I keep using the horizontal sag bracket (or repurpose it) to support the right/outer edge of the card once I go vertical?

Has anyone tried this or something similar? Will it fit properly without interfering with the vertical mount bracket, riser, or side panel?

Any photos, tips, or experiences with Astral 5090 vertical setups in HAVN cases would be awesome, especially regarding long-term sag prevention, clearance, and aesthetics. I’m mostly worried about the card’s weight stressing the riser and the GPU.

Thanks in advance!

Hello

I have a 11x 140mm Corsair LX and LX-R fans:

Exhaust: (AIO up top + top rear Fan)

Intake: (Bottom + back + bottom rear)

(See photo of pc on my profile)

I’m installing an ASUS RTX 5090 Astral OC in a few days. so I want decent cooling but prioritize quiet operation during normal use and gaming.

Questions for you:

  1. What curve do I set the fans ?
  2. What temperature source should I use in iCUE Link for the case fans? (GPU temp, CPU temp, or something else?)
  3. Should intake (blue) and exhaust (red) have different curves?

Thanks a lot, any advice to get me started would be awesome!
