Do I go full ROG?

Hello

Over these past few months I’ve been slowly turning my entire PC into a full ROG setup without really noticing…

I started with an MSI Trio RTX 5090 OC, MSI MPG X870E Carbon WiFi and a Corsair iCUE HX1200i PSU. I swapped the PSU for the ASUS ROG Strix 1200W 80+ Platinum because I wanted to use the ROG Equaliser cable, then upgraded the GPU to the ROG Astral RTX 5090 OC and immediately noticed the difference in quality and performance. After that I picked up the PG32UCDMR and that was the moment everything changed. I’ve found myself slowly swapping every part over to ROG ever since.

All that’s left to change is the motherboard. I’m looking at the Crosshair X870E Dark Hero.

If any ROG team members happen to see this… you know what would make this build complete 👀

Hello

Does anyone know what these 2 holes on the vertical bracket are used for?

Never seen them before.

ASUS PG32UCDMR - Blue lines/streaks & smudges on glossy panel after <1

Hello

I’m really disappointed with my ASUS ROG PG32UCDMR. I purchased it just under a year ago, and I’ve taken excellent care of it since. I only wipe it down once every 1-2 months if needed using distilled water and the included ASUS microfibre cloth. I always power it off, dampen a small section of the cloth then wipe and dirt or dust then dry it off with a clean section of the cloth. I make sure to not apply any pressure and let the cloth do all the work, I’ve used No alcohol, no harsh cleaners, nothing like that, just following best practices.

Despite all this, I’m now dealing with persistent blue lines, streaks, and smudges that won’t go away. They’re especially noticeable in reflections when the screen is off or on lighter backgrounds. It looks like it could be related to the glossy QD-OLED coating wearing or reacting even to minimal cleaning.

This is hugely frustrating for such an expensive monitor that I’ve babied since day one. Has anyone else with the PG32UCDM / PG32UCDMR run into this exact issue?

Questions:

  1. Is this likely permanent coating damage, or is there a safe way to remove the marks without making it worse?

  2. What cleaning method do you use successfully on these glossy panels long-term?

  3. Given it’s under a year old, minimal use, and careful maintenance, should I push ASUS for an RMA/replacement? Has anyone had success with that on similar issues?

I’d really appreciate any advice or similar experiences. This was a big investment and I expected it to last much longer.

Thanks in advance!

Vertical mount ROG Astral 5090 in HAVN HS420 - Can I use the horizontal sag bracket to prevent right-side sag?

Hello

I’m planning to switch my ROG Astral RTX 5090 to vertical mounting in my HS420 (VGPU version). The card is a beast and I’ve seen a few builds where heavy 5090s (especially Astral) sag noticeably to the right/outer side when mounted vertically.

Right now I’m running it horizontally with the official HAVN horizontal sag bracket, which works great.

My question is:

Can I keep using the horizontal sag bracket (or repurpose it) to support the right/outer edge of the card once I go vertical?

Has anyone tried this or something similar? Will it fit properly without interfering with the vertical mount bracket, riser, or side panel?

Any photos, tips, or experiences with Astral 5090 vertical setups in HAVN cases would be awesome, especially regarding long-term sag prevention, clearance, and aesthetics. I’m mostly worried about the card’s weight stressing the riser and the GPU.

Thanks in advance!

Hello

I have a 11x 140mm Corsair LX and LX-R fans:

Exhaust: (AIO up top + top rear Fan)

Intake: (Bottom + back + bottom rear)

(See photo of pc on my profile)

I’m installing an ASUS RTX 5090 Astral OC in a few days. so I want decent cooling but prioritize quiet operation during normal use and gaming.

Questions for you:

  1. What curve do I set the fans ?
  2. What temperature source should I use in iCUE Link for the case fans? (GPU temp, CPU temp, or something else?)
  3. Should intake (blue) and exhaust (red) have different curves?

Thanks a lot, any advice to get me started would be awesome!
