Anyone fall asleep during work during the day/ dosing off?

Hi, I had colorectal cancer. I have a lot of downtime at my job, I enjoy the people I work with, but sometimes either silence, or hearing others conversations. Puts me in a very sleepy mood. Next thing you know I'm opening my eyes (probably having closed them for 20 seconds, sometimes less. It's not intentional at all and I try to fight it.

I basically feel/ assume I look like an old man in their 50s/ 60s that just starts napping (like the grandpa from Rugrats). But I'm in my 30s.

Does anyone else have symptoms like that? I feel like its just an indicator that I'm not absorbing all my nutrients and sort of have a compromised body, brining on fatigue.

Does anyone take adhd medication? Are there any of us Larsies that are taking mental medication to be able to handle life struggles? I have a really hard time staying organized and succeeding in tasks that normal people do just fine. Of course a lot of medications will jack up your digestion, bad.

▲ 1 r/tax

Help. I did not do my tax last year, due to severe personal distress. Is it awful if I just "forget about that year" and start fresh? I dont make a lot of money, and dont keep flawless records of everything I spend or make. It's basically just pretty hectic in my life and I'm trying to

get it together. What is the advice? Thanks

Advice for shelves or coat hangers...

Hi, I live in an apartment. Dont know how long I'll stay. could be 2 years. maybe a few more.. But I need somewhere to put my motorcycle jacket. And motorcycle helmet. Throwing them on my table is messy and takes up space. I can easily install shelves, a coat hanger, or buy something that stores them better. But I don't want to do a lot of stuff that I'll patch up later

Looking for opinions, she said "it's just a song"

I had a girlfriend, years ago. We were in a car, or at a restaurant studying when she was playing this song. It was a fine song at first, and then the hook came on. It was very catchy, went like this

"You've been cheatin on cheatin on me, I've been cheatin on you" You've been cheatin on me".

It was a little bit of a pet peeve/ trigger for me... I get the song is totally catchy, and seemingly harmless... But it really bothered me and I did not want to listen to it. I am monogamous and I believe that certain songs subconsciously have effects on your brain.

It's not something I wanted to listen to, it sounded evil to me. (the song is called "This Life" by Vampire Weekend by the way)

I asked politely to please change the song. (mentioning it's talking about cheating and I dont think it's good to listen to). And she said "No". "It's just a song"...

I tried to explain how the song bothered me, and if she could please change it, it would make me feel better. She would not change the song... obviously... it was at this point I should have put my foot down, because if you love someone, and they ask a simple request of you, knowing that simply changing a song could end a trigger, and show respect to something that hurt me.

I don't get it. Theres millions of songs to choose from. Was I overreacting? Was it "just a song"... Should I have just said "okay, I'll wait for you in the car, because this song is bothering me".

What do you guys think?

By the way, the song is SUPER catchy and sounds nice (until hearing the lyrics that did not sit right with me). And my girlfriend at the time was a "hippy" nice, "kind" and just supposedly cares deeply about others... her reaction seemed selfish as hell, and I tried deeply to convey my thought process in a understanding and gentle way (while acknowledging the song is not all bad).

But it was met with flat out no care about my beliefs or triggers.

Where can I find decent looking suspenders? For not a ton of money?

I am a teacher, Not the button up and dress extremely amazing and formal everyday... But my attire is more casual, rugged, and will include things like jeans, military inspired/ cargo pants, dress pants occasionally. But utilitarian.. button up shirts, turtle neck in winter.

I want to get some nice (but inexpensiveish) suspenders. Now, clearly leather suspenders are on my list. But are there other types that will still add a touch of class/ utility, without looking dirt cheap or overly "Walmart basic elastic suspenders"?

(of course I may find some second hand, but where would NEW ones be found... sometimes items are similar price to buying used/thrift in my experience)
