Does anybody else get better highway mileage in "normal mode?"

So in my 2021 Hyundai Elantra SEL it is a 100% definite that I get close to 10 MPG higher on an average freeway ride keeping the car in "Normal mode" as opposed to "Smart". To be honest, I haven't found a good use for Smart Mode since I bought the car two and a half years ago. And before I finish, I just want to let anybody who asks about the warning lights that I know what the problem is, and the dealer has to take care of it again. Third time!

Here we go again

This will be the third time at the dealer because adaptive cruise control crapped out. They last fix didn't even last a month and now my smart cruise control has decided to stop working. The lane keeping assist still works and lane departure will still work as well, I just can't set cruise control. Last time with ACC the warning read something about parameters not met. This time it just says check your smart cruise control. I've done everything I could do which is basically just make sure there's no obstruction on the radar and make sure it's clean. It periodically fixes itself only to go back off if somebody slows down in front of me and the car has to accelerate back to set speed. The slightest bit of moisture shuts it down as well. I don't even want to go back because I can't stand trying to talk to the dealership. I guarantee they're going to try and "recalibrate" it again! It's a '21 Elantra SEL. Still getting good gas mileage which is good with these fucking gas prices. Anybody have a DIY solution or deal with the same issue?

Landed it!

The Rimac(s) are not the greatest for racing in my opinion, but they work great for stunts!

So here I am again having the same problem I had at the end of 2025. I have a 2021 Elantra SEL that I bought certified pre-owned exactly 2 years ago this month. I had to bring it back because I am getting a reading on the dash that says "conditions for smart cruise control are not met. Please check smart cruise control." This is the third time it's occurred and supposedly been fixed by the dealership. The car has 40,000 miles and every time I go back to the dealer they "recalibrate it". It has started working by itself two or three times but every time it rains forget it. It stops working and the issue stays in the historical codes. Basically I want to know is if ANYBODY else has the problem as bad as I do and if so, what did you do about it to finally rectify it or what do you do about it to get it working again? People tell me just to clean off the sensor on the front grill and the one on the front of the rear view mirror but to no avail. I can go back to the dealer again, but honestly I don't want to. I need them to replace the radar sensor in the SCC system not recalibrate the fucking thing again! With the cruise control I can get over 50 MPG so I'd like it to be working. So anybody who's had the issue please let me know what you did. Thanks in advance.
