I saw this game at a medieval exhibition… so I 3D printed my own version
Hi Makers!

This summer, while on vacation in France, I visited a medieval exhibition (CastelNou Casttle) where they had a life-size wooden balance game.
Two people stood on opposite sides, each holding one end of a bar. A ball could slide along it, and by raising or lowering your side, you had to work together to guide the ball through the course.
I loved the idea and immediately thought: I need a version of this at home.
But I also wanted to be able to play it alone.
So I designed BALLance.
Instead of two people controlling the platform, two sliders let you control both axes yourself. The movement is transferred mechanically with, allowing you to tilt the maze and guide the ball from start to finish.
No electronics, no motors, just 3D printed parts and a simple mechanical system.
It took quite a few prototypes to get the movement right, but it’s finally ready!
Now I’m curious… how fast can you finish the maze?
