Sooo I’m almost finished with house of sky and breath anddd I have some major questions!!

- HOW did hunt get arrested by a harpy?!?! You’re telling me he couldn’t have electrocuted her like what???

-How did Lydia get free to release Rune Bryce and Hunt?? She’s been in jail for however many days and conveniently gets free upon their arrival?

-WHY DIDN’T THEY ELECTROCUTE TF OUT OF POLLYX WHEN HE CAME DOWN TO GET THEM IN THE DUNGEON LIKE WHAT THIS WHOLE FIGHT COULD HAVE BEEN OVER?!?!

-Bryce is so cavalier about joining the rebel movement and protecting humans and doing all this good and that is a HUGE responsibility. You’re telling me she still strongly doesn’t want to be queen? This doesn’t make sense. She’d be able to do so much good in a position of power so her not wanting to take on the title, after already taking responsibility is out of character for me.

I generally love SJMs writing style and story telling because it’s so captivating but I just can’t stop myself from noticing these points! Curious if anyone else has noticed this.

EDIT: I had not fully finished this book yet so I didn’t know that Lydia wasn’t being imprisoned. Also I have been listening to audiobook so pls forgive my spelling of character names 🫣

Hello fellow one piece fans. I’m having a huge dilemma because there is so much one piece I’ve forgotten sooo many characters and plot points!! I’m currently about to start Elbaf arc but I’m debating… should I rewatch?!!?

One part of me wants to wait until the end of the show to rewatch anything. I want my brain to forget it all and rewatching it will be like partly brand new. But also I hate having to google something every time an old character or reference comes back up.

Maybe those of you who have read ahead in the manga can provide some insight.

Me and my dad have this ongoing argument about American classic literature of which he is a huge fan, and I myself cannot get through a whole book of. (Huge fan of the fantasy genre) I find them… boring?

His argument to enjoying “classics” is that they are of highest quality writing and story telling and have more depth than many books. Which I’m sure is true, although I feel some of these books get put on a pedestal for being an “American classic literature” book.

I feel like there had to have been so many books back then that were great and just failed to reach the same popularity and many books today have even better writing and story telling ?

Take away the title, the author and the fame. Would those books still be equally regarded today?

Hey everyone :) I love a feel-good type of show with a compelling plot and a positive overall vibe. One piece and spy family have been my favorite so far! Very good comfort shows.

I’ve also seen death note, attack on titan, and just started JJK and found them to be very good shows, however they were missing that comfort aspect I’m seeking out.

I’ve just started fieren which was highly recommended to me and found it.. boring?

Edit: fantasy/adventure elements would also be preferable

I have always been extremely interested in religion and the way it affects cultures and individual thinking. However I myself am an atheist/agnostic (not sure?). I just feel after learning about so many different religions how could 1 of them ever be the right choice?

Dating someone religious with intent to marry I have strong mixed feelings about because there are so many awesome kind religious people but it also feels close minded to me at the same time to not be open to the possibility that humans have no actual idea?

Something like this is obviously subjective but looking for people’s POV!
