Question about a driver
Placed an order at 1025pm, saw a driver selected my order and their location put my phone in my pocket and got back to work look up at the clock to realize it's 1130pm, I haven't gotten a notification about my delivery yet. Open the app, and the person is in the same spot as an hour ago.
Contact support and they dump the driver and reassign my order to someone else. I asked if it would be possible to get the order remade since it's been sitting for. While at this point, they say they are unable to do that but if there is a problem once it arrives to reach back out.
The food take another 15ish mins (the normal amount of time) and the food arrives cold and soggy. To be expected the food was made nearly an hour and a half ago at this point.
Contact support again, and they refund the order. I've been ordering through Uber for years and have had great support on the off chance something is wrong with my order.
This time though with the refund they also refunded the tip? The second driver did their job great, and even got to me pretty quick. Asked the Support Agent if the second driver is still getting the tip cause they did the right thing and did it well and shouldn't be penalized for the poor actions of the first driver.
Support said that they will still pay them but is there any way to make sure my driver got paid? I hear horror stories from drivers about being shorted tips on other subreddits.
