Should I get a 5x5?

I have posted previously that I can do a 4x4 but I can’t find any decent video tutorials to do the YAU method at a speed that I can keep up with, I can’t even find and written instructions, anyway as I say I can do a 4x4 is it worth getting a 5x5 if I can only do a basic solve of a 4x4?

Is it only Usain Bolt that shows the Yau method?

I can now do the 4x4 but I’m trying to learn the Yau method, why is it that every you tube video that has someone trying to give you instructions while they’re fingers are going at 100 miles an hour? If you do this slice to get to that pair then before they’ve finished the sentence the cube is complete. I realise that you can slow the play back speed but then you get I….f y…..u t……n etc, I think I get the rough idea but does anyone have a suggestion where I can learn it at a normal walking pace?

How to learn a piece at pace.

I’m playing Tico Tico in a band at the moment, I find it tricky but I’d like to master it, I suppose it’s really just like playing apedgios but because of the key changes I’m struggling to play it at the right speed. I’ve tried playing it slowly and speeding it up but I just can’t get to the speed it should be played at. Any suggestions?

Always and up with a 4x4 parity?

I’ve been doing 3x3 (various versions with same solutions) for a while now and I basically just use the beginners method. I’ve got a 4x4 and I can get it down to the last layer but I always end up with a side pair the wrong way round. Looking online it’s called a parity and the codes that are available fix it. I’m 66 and just using it as a past time, I don’t want to enter competitions 🤣 I just want to know if there’s an option to fix it before I get to the last layer without having to remember a whole paragraph of algorithms?

I’m an intermediate player, I’ve been playing for about 10 / 12 years now and I’m wanting to learn how to improvise (I’ve joined a community band). I found a teacher (who’s not too cheap) I’ve been going for about 3 months now and so far we’re just running up and down scales and modes to backing tracks. I don’t feel I’m learning anything that I don’t know, I’m just refreshing my previous lessons, relearning modes that I’d forgotten or hadn’t had a use for. is this normal?
