Vindicated by the vortex

Bear with me here, explaining this coherently is difficult.

I lost my Apple Watch 2 years ago. In my house. The last seen location is my literal address. I don’t have any reason to believe that it was stolen - it was just … gone.

Last night I was cooking and I dropped my wedding ring that I was balancing on the top of my freestanding oven/stovetop. It’s has been built into cabinets on the side. I.e. I can’t just roll the unit out.
I took a torch to see said ring and located the it on the floor.
I carefully bent a wire hanger and cradled the ring out. I started dusting once I’d picked the item up, and saw a watch strap sticking out from the bottom of the oven (there’s a gap).

I made my husband dismantle the countertops so that I could get to that badboy - he of course looked at me like I was going through psychosis. He knows his wife though, and taking no for an answer during my side quests isn’t an option.

Do not ask me how it stayed there (how it got there is now explained). I vacuum under the crevice regularly but apparently there’s a secret vortex at the back of the oven that sucks things in.

My family has thought I was crazy for the longest time because I’ve maintained that it’s somewhere in this house. Finally vindicated!

As a side note - I also found four steak knives, a sleeve of cold medicine and a spatula. Will I remember that I shouldn’t be placing things there while cooking? Probably not.
