Did anyone else catch the brief discussion between Ben and Ronnie at the beginning of the Summer House recap that mentioned them being audited? Ronnie finished it out by saying something like “I can’t believe what this country is doing…”
Is the show’s LLC being federally audited? I wasn’t sure if they had talked about it somewhere else.
If they are, I fully agree that the US does not have its priorities straight, because auditing a podcast when there are billionaires and multibillion dollar companies who pay no federal taxes is ridiculous.

A decade ago there was a rumor about K. Michelle’s lady parts smelling fishy. This rumor was brought to The Breakfast Club (for those who don’t know, it’s a national syndicated radio show based in NYC). Rappers Maino and Uncle Murda were on there and towards the end of the interview (https://youtu.be/uJOgdRThn1s?is=1ZBUIziZDzKwW4gj timestamp 19:17), Uncle Murda brings up K’s cooch having a smell and says it like it’s a known fact according to dudes she’s been with. Maino smugly co-signs this, Charlemagne jokes about it with them asking follow-up questions and Angela Yee laughs too (this is important for what comes next).

Fast forward to coochie-gate: knowing this OG rumor, I knewwwwwww as soon as that camera panned to K’s face that she immediately went back to that coochie- rumor. That it was gonna turn into Porsha and Drew plotting against her, though? It’s such a REACH! The majority of viewers wouldn’t have known about the rumor (that K is crying about a DECADE later) if she hadn’t brought it up on the TV. I’m actually surprised that K. chose to go down this (wrong) road.
Personally, I think Porsha was referring to her spat with Kelli in the van (chilli cheese frito cheese doodles puss or whatever lol) - not K. But I think K. wants this to be a season 9 type situation and it’s just not it. She spread the rumor HERSELF. Nobody is trying to take her down, and she is not someone to take down. She ain’t no divaaaa!
Just wanted to clarify re: crappy hour discussion of common law marriage. (just in case someone heard it and thought it might apply to them!! But I’m not a family lawyer, so if you think this is relevant to you, go talk to one…)
In RI and every U.S. state I’m aware of, you are not common law married or entitled to half just because you’ve dated / lived with someone for ten years. Common law marriage is a doctrine intended to protect couples who *incorrectly believed* they were married. You and your “spouse” must both believe that you’re married and hold yourself out to the community as a married couple. Like imagine the man you thought was your husband of many years dies and it turns out he mistakenly never actually got a marriage license—we still want you to be treated as his spouse for purposes of inheritance, etc. So common law marriage can never apply to people who, like Alicia, know and represent to the community that they are not married.

I used to watch Bravo shows like a child who didn’t know why I loved what I was watching. Thru Ben and Ronnie I have developed a more analytical approach to not only the shows but the Genre that is Bravo shows. There is a formula to the episodes and the shows in general, despite the difference that the variety of shows (and production companies) presents.
I now have developed a formula for what makes a successful Bravolebrity whether it be a housewife or a member of Southern Charm or Summerhouse. There are many things that are true in people we want to have in our lives that make them a terrible reality star on a Bravo show. This is why I agree with the guys when I say Carl is boring now and we need him off of our screens. Glad he is healthy and finally getting “more life” now but that is why you are boring on a reality show. So without further ado…. I will present my criteria for a great bravo star and why Lindsey from Summer House/In the City has been for some time now: the top bravo star.
Are they delusional? Lindsey is the perfect level of delusional…
Are they narcissistic? Yuppppp…. She is y’all. Not in a predatory way but for sure!!
Can they give great reads? She can for sure read people for filth… she was doing it 30 minutes into the premiere of In the City.
Do they walk the line between mean and cruel? This trips up most people especially if they check the narcissist and delusional boxes but I think Lindsey walks that line better than most…
Do they give and receive genuine loyalty amongst their cast mates? This can also sink some great bravolebs…. Lindsey does both consistently for years.
Can they leverage their Bravo celebrity status to benefit financially? Every housewife from the dawn of existence has peddled some form of a product be it alcohol, restaurant, political careers or even places where other housewives can get Botox and lip fillers…. Lindsey has owned this space for years. Others have maybe ranked higher than Linds but not for the longevity…. For instance Ariana has rocketed higher, but her example in particular must be considered with the context that she stopped being a bravoleb when she rocketed.
I am happy to hear arguments against this…. It would help if you explained your criteria (which is not a science and does not need to be as ridiculous as mine) but please just consider my arguments.
It is important to note that I have not been a Lindsey fan in the past and she drives me absolutely insane (Ronnie’s voice) and I do not support most of the things she says or feels… but she is an absolute star on this network and I contend that she is top dog…. The “top guy” on the network if you will…. 🤷🏻♂️

I've been a SAHM for 7 years now and discovered Ben and Ronnie's podcast during the beginning of the pandemic when I really started to get into podcasts (Winter Is Crappening is great too). Being an avid Bravo watcher, I fell in love instantly. No matter what I'm going through or how my life may be life-ing at the moment lol, I can always turn them on and go on about my day and get some laughs in while I'm at it. Love those guys🤗
