Is everyone with pcos on medication

i was given metformin and one more tablet for my pcos i’m 50kg so whenever i took the other tab i went light headed so doc asked me to stop taking
when i consulted a different doctor they asked me to completely stop taking the meds as i was getting periods on time ( lasts for a day or 2)
how do i know when it’s serious?
i’m on a year or more without tablets
i only take b12 and d and thyronorm for hypothyroidism
