Hair Frizz, Roughness & Possible Receding Hairline

My hair looks frizzy all the time, and by the 2nd day after washing, it becomes really rough and stiff. 😭 I’m also wondering if my hairline is receding or if the roughness is mainly because of dry/damaged ends.

My current routine is: oiling overnight → shampoo → conditioner → hair mask for 15–20 minutes → serum.

Is there anything else I should add to my routine? And do you think I should get a trim to remove the dry ends? Any advice would be really helpful!

need review for mentioned hair oils

hi

i have been looking for hair oils to finally start a solid hair care routine

here are the products i have been particularly eyeing - please review them if you have used and noticed any good pointers that made you repurchase or found a better replacement

  1. Wishcare / Rey Naturals - Jojoba Oil
  2. Wishcare - Almond Oil
  3. Blend it raw Apothecary - Blackseed Oil
  4. Mystiq Living / All Naturals / Hesthetics - Pumpkin Oil
  5. Mystiq Living - Argain Oil

to add to the above i’m not sure which rosemary oil to choose, there’s plenty of brands to pick from

further, has anyone tried derma rolling / derma stamping along with the wishcare and bodywise hair serums ?

please provide your inputs, TIA !!

Reviewing my 2026 hair purchases

Spa essence hair mask - I purchased this hair mask in June and I got this because it was for dry hair honestly I have used other hair masks in past. But this one is also for damaged hair so imo this is working for me

Inde wild growth serum - Got this last month and I use this overnight.. I apply this on my clean scalp and massage for 2-3 minutes and tbh my scalp was v dry a month ago it is actually getting better so i am thinking to continue using this

Loreal Shampoo - My first expensive shampoo purchase hehe I have finally upgraded from head &. shoulders I like the texture of this

Finally cracked a good wavy frizzy hair routine (it did work)

as a 2nd year college student i wanted my waves to look good everyday and i know sometimes becoz of humidity the hair do get frizzy but i deserve some “you look pretty” days too right ?? lol

so i searched a lot on reddit about a good haircare routine and i wont say i tried too many products cuzz i am always tight on budget lol. i really needed some particular products for my haircare routine.

Here is myy haircare routine (with the products)

  1. so i wash my hair 2x a week - loreal hyaluronic shampoo and conditioner

  2. then i apply hair mask once a week - moxie deep dive hair mask

  3. then i detangle them in the shower.

  4. applied leave in conditioner on sopping wet hair and scrunched it a bit - moxie leave in

  5. i apply hair serum (very optional) - tresemme hair serum

  6. then i use a styling gel, scrunched again, and let it air dry - moxie styling gel

i kept it pretty basic and followed the suggestions to avoid doing too much at once. definitely going to keep experimenting and figuring out what works best for my hair, but i am honestly happy with how it turned out.

Does Rosemary oil work for hair regrowth?

22M. I have noticed that my hair has been thinning mainly around the frontal region and the temple region. Not balding but its more of thinning. So can using Rosemary oil work regrowth?

26M | Hair Fall for 6 years, receding hairline, thinning , Grey Hair+ dandruff. Looking for some serious advice.

I’ve been dealing with hair fall for almost 6 years now and it’s starting to really bother me.

Main issues:

  • Frontal hairline is receding/thinning and my scalp is visible whenever air passes through my hair.
  • Constant shedding — during hair wash, while working, or even when I run my hand through my hair.
  • Dandruff + a lot of itching, especially when wearing a helmet.
  • Premature greying (my dad also had early greying).
  • No obvious family history of male-pattern baldness.
  • I see that my hair fall issue started out of no where and sudden. Strange!

Some history:
In 2020 I went through a lot of stress. In 2021 I had typhoid and then COVID a couple of months later. Hair fall became noticeable around this period and has continued since.

Lifestyle is honestly pretty bad: 😅
I sleep around 2–3 AM and wake up around noon. I eat a lot of junk food and sugar, don't exercise regularly anymore, and have been under constant stress for years. I'm vegetarian most of the time, with non-veg occasionally when eating outside. This has been going since 6 Years since that Covid piece of thing which disturbed me mentally.

I recently got blood work done:

  • Vitamin D: ~9 (severely deficient)
  • B12: borderline

I’ve recently started Vitamin D supplementation for 2 months.

I’m also seeing a dermatologist (the same doctor who treated my acne). Currently prescribed:

  • Curlz-F (minoxidil) — twice daily, mainly on the frontal scalp
  • Hair Club Ultra (Tablet) — once daily
  • Shyne Soft shampoo/cleanser
  • Ketorex shampoo for dandruff

I’ve also used minoxidil previously. Chekfall-F - I've been inconsistent all the time with it.

One thing I’m unsure about: I’ve fapped regularly for 10+ years. Could this have anything to do with hair fall or lower libido, or is that unrelated?

What I’m mainly looking for:
What could be contributing to this much hair fall, and what should I focus on to prevent further recession/thinning and improve overall hair health?

I know my lifestyle needs fixing, and I’m working on that. Just looking for some practical guidance from people who have dealt with something similar. 🙏

If someone wants to be blunt , Please DM. I'm looking for honest guidance here!

Fake loreal hyaluron moisture conditioner?

My conditioner just got delivered and it looks a little different than what I have seen on YouTube review videos or even online pictures, it's small and last purple instead of that bright purple shade, is it a fake product? I ordered from Amazon.

Is this shampoo worth it?

I have been experiencing dandruff for a year. And i am currently using any 5rs sacket i find which is mostly head and shoulders.

So I want your opinions and a proper routine to get rid of dandruff. Also is this shampoo works or is there any other better ones in this budget

Natural hair care feedback

Recently I tried this mix of powders for hair wash.

  1. Reetha
  2. Amla
  3. Shikakai
  4. Hibiscus
  5. Bhringraj

I oiled my hair and then washed it with this powder.
Hairfall was less but oil also stayed.
Gladly, I didn’t have to go anywhere so didn’t do a repeat wash.

Today, I used Vilvah Goat milk shampoo to wash the oil off..
Both hair and scalp feel clean and good.

I really liked this combo.

To share more - my hair is wavy, thin and dry. And if I don’t wash my hair whole week, it will be fine. But I usually wash them after 3-4 days gap. And oiling my hair with black sesame oil is must for me.

help me long haired baddies

i wanna look more femme and want to have long hairs but They are brittle and dry and thin . they break easily -> im on min + fin topical so they don't shed from the roots.
i live in a environment that have very dry air most of the time but 90% humidity in July , august , september , oct .

my water is hard (just like me) with a TDS of 800 ; it is also salty

My area is also dusty like a hell lot of dust .

my scalp is Dry when im on Accutane but oily when im off .

Shampoo makes my hairs even more dry . and break like crazy .

I used Johnson's baby oil and parachute oil but both lead to no volume in the hairs .

suggest me something - im thinking to hope on oral finastride.
