Hi guys! I applied for the HYRS program last March and the anticipation is killing me. In the informative meeting they said that we could expect responses to our applications mid-late May, but I've also heard of people getting theirs earlier. For those who applied years prior, when did you get your response email?

Also, for those who got accepted, what was the interview portion like? What should we expect?

Context: Im currently in Grade 11, and doing alright in school (mid 80s) but I just don't know what to do or pursue post-highschool. I feel a connection with health and medicine research but I wouldn't be able to list reasons why that connection is there. I have my hobbies but most of my time is spent on my phone or watching miscellaneous videos on YouTube.

Every time I try to find something new, the passion I have regarding the subject flourishes initially, but slowly fades away as time passes.

Alongside this every time I try to expose myself to new environments or skills that could actually benefit me and my future, it feels like I'm forcing myself to do it, I stop caring for it then. It feels sort of purposeless because I don't have this natural intuition towards the skill I attempt to learn.

I feel like I only know how to study. But this surely couldn't bring me fulfillment, right?

Idk man just vibes are off
