Image 1 — The humble fire alarm system I’ve installed in my house. A lot of people hate the Vista. My only complaint with it is the fixed 3 word zone labels.

Really my first time dealing with GUIs. What do you guys think? I'm having my friend script it, but I made the GUI. I've had the fire panel model built for a while, finally getting it to work... (last pic is irl reference)

Fire door system, needed it, didn't see it, so I made it. (mostly for my lab/core game) I am not great at scripting so it took me 3 hours and a lot of trial and error, but they are pretty much done with minimal bugs! You can see it operate like so.

Alarm goes off, doors close, and they contain a script that does not let any fire or smoke particles go past them if they are closed.

Even when they close in alarm, as demonstrated, they can still be opened to let people through, then automatically close again 5 seconds later. They can be opened and closed any amount of times, though doing this rapidly CAN cause some bugs I'm trying to fix.

The doors can be both in the open and closed position when theres no alarm present, meaning you can still operate them like normal doors if you want, its just that they close in alarm to stop the spread of smoke and fire.
