Observation of Combat Finishers

A lot of things people already know. Sometimes they’re triggered randomly. Sometimes by a certain flow in the combo attack. And sometimes from a certain angle.

But I notice with Yasuke you can more easily control which finishers you trigger. For example, when Yasuke is OP at max level, in combat, you can get in a 2nd, third, or 4th posture stance in a follow up attack and nearly always trigger a less common (sometimes cooler) finisher.

Take the Naginata for example, in combat he seems to nearly execute the hacking limbs followed by decapitation finisher when you’re normally playing. But when you start in a follow up posture stance (to the follow up primary attack), and because he’s so powerful, you almost always execute and control the variation of finishers in combat. This works more easily on enemies with one or two health segments.

With Naoe I assume it’s similar. But the issue with her is she’s not nearly as powerful as Yasuke; therefore, the lack of control you have in executing certain finishers is more random, thus you have less control.

Does that make sense?

New Naoe Katana Finisher

So earlier today I thought I figured out how to more consistently activate the finisher where she slices the enemy’s lower legs (or abdomen), they fall, then try to get up, and she turns around and slices their throat. Whether you do a forward roll or backward roll, followed by a light attack press, it activated nearly 80% of the time for me. Then later on in the day at a different area, it would only activate about 20% of the time. Most of the older finishers activated instead. Same light enemy types too.

Does anybody who may be more familiar than me know how to consistently trigger these finishers? It’s kind of aggravating thinking I got it down but then only to seemingly do the same thing over and over but then activating other finishers.

Forgive me if this has been asked or announced. Will AC Black Flag Resynced include stealth chain assassinations like in Shadows and all the other AC games that preceded it since Origins? Will we be able to assassinate an enemy silently and then throw a sharp object immediately at another target with stealth?

One of the very few good things about the RPG series of AC games over the earlier ones was fundamentally featuring chain assassinations by silently taking out an enemy and then throwing a knife or kunai at another target.
