They should add this next update

So everyone knows how bad the fixed camera Face to Face interactions are in this game and I have a proposal, the devs should add a feature to turn it off similar to how AC Origins does there Face to Face interactions. Then I believe it wouldn’t look so bad tbh and atleast give the interactions more flow and less jarring

enemy types

What enemy type you hate the most? mine are the naginata wielding monks in saika castle. all of them are naginata wielders. They parry your attack non stop and spam blue attacks.

I specifically created a counter build against these fckers. Naoe vault backstab build with a tanto as a middle finger to them. kill them before they can even react.

my cortisol level is off the charts clearing corrupted saika castle. My whole being hates them so much.

They should have given naoe a bow.

My reason for that is because there were smaller bows during the era that were used, even ones specifically made for shinobi. I don't agree with ubisoft stating that it would make players use Yasuke less. Naoe was meant for stealth and yasuke for kicking in the front door. I'd still use him if I wanted to quickly clear a place out. But giving naoe a bow could do more than just making her a stealth archer, one shoting targets from afar. It could allow her to make rope pathways so she could perform executions from places she normally wouldn't be able to. Poison arrows for weakening strong targets before moving in for the kill. Theres so many things that would benefit from her having a bow other than her becoming a one shoting stealth archer. And if they went that route they could have given yasuke a wider selection of arrows to choose from that would be more in line with his way of combat. Plus he gets a matchlock rifle to boot. He gets two awesome ranged weapons and she gets kunai and shuriken which are cool and extremely useful, don't get me wrong.

Tldr, ubisoft dropped the ball not giving her a bow

FYI: After the 4th Kuji-kiri you don't have flashbacks

My brother and I just started playing and neither of us realized this so we've been running around for last couple of days avoiding them. We both did 4 to meet the objective and just stopped. I figured I'd wait till somewhere towards the end and run through the all flashbacks in one go and he just don't want to deal with more flashbacks. Now we gotta backtrack to all the ones we discovered that aren't near fast travels.

Can anyone explain why my game randomly lags and buffers?

Whenever I play the game, sometimes it will randomly start lagging and buffering. The first signs are the screen interface icons (compass, allies, tools, special abilities) disappearing, parts of the environment becoming blocky and losing details, ambient sounds being muted, and a delay in loading the map/equipment screen when pausing. Then as I continue playing the entire screen will freeze and the buffering icon will start spinning in the corner. Eventually the game resumes, but it can be some time before everything I just mentioned comes back and returns to normal.

Was therefore wondering what possibly could be causing this.

AC Shadows Bug

Hi, has anyone here ever come across this bug? I have 44hrs in the game everything has been running amazing until this happened. The game still seems to run perfectly fine, its just these giant geometrical things what seems are coming out of buildings or 3D models. You can even see it when paused in the menus when your in the world tab and you zoom in, literally still moving even there. Ive tried everything, verified game files, deleted cache and shaders, rolled back on gpu driver installed fresh, played with every graphics setting, turned off g sync and every possible overlay. Im miserable, any suggestions?

Did Shadows handle the dual protagonist idea well?Did Shadows handle the dual protagonist idea well?

I’ve been thinking about the way Shadows uses two protagonists with very different playstyles.

On paper, I really like the idea. Yasuke and Naoe give the game two completely different perspectives: one more direct and combat-focused, the other more stealth-focused and closer to the classic Assassin fantasy.

For me, the best part of this system is that it lets players choose how they want to approach situations. Sometimes it feels satisfying to sneak through an area carefully, and other times it is fun to go in with a more aggressive playstyle.

At the same time, I’m wondering whether people feel both characters are equally fun and well-developed, or if one clearly feels stronger than the other.

Planning to finally pick up Shadows. What’s the honest verdict?

Yo guys i would love to hear your take, so Shadows is currently on sale and I’m heavily tempted to grab it, but the insane amount of hate online is making me hesitate. Is the hate genuine or is the internet just riding the usual Ubisoft hate wave?

For context, I’m a long-time AC fan. I absolutely loved Origins and Odyssey so much. Valhalla was fine as an RPG game, but it was just way too massive and I never felt like it was actually an Assassin’s Creed game, you know? Obviously, I’ve played Ghost of Tsushima too and it's a masterpiece, but not everything has to be that perfect to be fun imo.

I had the same hesitation with Mirage because of the backlash, but I bought it on sale and honestly liked it. Yeah, the story was mid and the combat was pretty bad Ik, but the DLC was good and I loved that it went back to old-school stealth, patience, and actual planning instead of that massive Valhalla grind.

I’ve been waiting for a Feudal Japan AC game forever. For anyone actually playing, is it honestly worth it? Does the gameplay loop hold up? but to be completely honest, I’m just looking for people to motivate me to get it. I am literally dried out from reading all the negative things online. Like, please tell me something positive about the game for onceeee! Is it really that bad? It can't be that bad right?!😭

Cheers for the honest takes!

Himeji and Azuchi Corrupted Castle?

I believe I have never seen Corrupted Castle event in these 2 castles, yet AI tells me:

"AI Overview

In Assassin's Creed Shadows, Himeji Castle and Azuchi Castle are among Japan's most impressive historic strongholds. Both serve as major points of interest and can spawn "Corrupted Castle" events, featuring Animus anomalies, heightened-aggression samurai patrols, and special gear rewards."

I finished main story but some side quests are undone, not sure if I must clear all side quests?

Enhance epic weapon

Hi! If I have an epic weapon and try to enhance it I can only get golden text on weapon dps. Does this mean I can never get posture dps as the boosted stat by upgrading and I have to find one already boosted?

Edit: I know I only get one stat boosted:D I just thought it was random which of the 3 stats got booster but it seems it’s not.

Platinum'ed today

Took lots of time doing legendary sumi e and over design 3 trophy.

The world building of these new AC games are masterpiece, totally worth exploring and side activities are also good. I played mostly in story mode difficulty because otherwise it would have taken nearly 3 months in expert/ nightmare difficulty. Now, I can't wait to play AC Black Flag resynced!
