I Loved Shadows and I Really Liked Naoe and Yasuke but...

The story actually starts very strong and interesting but it is super boring and artificial afterwards... AC struggles deep on story since AC3, the last good story in the franchise imho, which was never great but very interesting before too.

Before you get angry, I know Edward Kenway, Shay Cormack, Arno etc. was really interesting takes and I kinda like them too (Edward probably one of my favorite protagonists next to Altair) but the story telling, dialogues and the stakes are just meh. I kinda understand why it happened; Desmond died, Ubisoft could not find the next Ezio, they lost the spark with modern timeline and ofcourse, you can't built a good story properly when you try to make RPGs if you don't give yourself into it. Which is kinda a shame because I remember a time when I was getting excited for the story as well.

Now I see that AC: Shadows' story starts really strong and lay super flat after a couple hours is just disappointing. Great timeline choice -Sengoku Era-, Yasuke could be really interesting and deep, Naoe is broken from the start and the dynamics of his family's legacy and clashing nature of reality with its ideals could have been awesome. Yasuke and Naoe dynamics could have been much more impactful too. It really suprised me that they couldn't do something with these.

Loved the game btw, my favorite among the RPG ones. Game world is still great(Japan is such a beautiful country irl too), stealth and battle mechanics are good, and immersion mode is impressive. Japanese voice actors really give some character to the game for sure.

What do you guys think about this story dilemma around Assassin's Creed as a franchise and not just around Shadows? It is really annoying that they just blunder this game after game. Once a great franchise now struggles to write a decent story is really weird

Edit:Format correction.

Yet Another The Real Premise of Attack on Titan: Believe Me, It Will Worth Your Time

I need to vent a little about the point of the show from my perspective, because years of watching and thinking about the show, I actually never say anthing to anyone in a little detail, so here it goes. I am sorry if it is long, but believe me, I can pinpoint much more actually and tried to keep this post simple as I can... I feel like a lot of people and the some of thefanbase didn't understand the show one bit, which I know everyone thinks like that so wait before finishing my point lol.

Even years later, still people argues whether Eren or somebody else was right -which is fine but it lays shallow-, hates Gabi while Gabi is literally Eren on the opposite side of the conflict, which actually matures better than Eren on some points because she understoods the unnecassary conflict. Attack on Titan was never about who is right or which side is right.... Titan horror, Marley horror and Eldia horror are just propagandas in that world. AoT was about trying to end the "cycle of violence" in that messy world, which leads to moral paradoxes all over the place...

I am gonna try to explain and it will be a bit long, which I will actually try to keep it short and simple but here it goes... On Marley's perspective, Liberio was non-aggressive and cheerful community that tries to survive as well. Liberio is actually one of the places for concentration camps for Eldians living in Marley. To even get basic human living conditions, they needed to sacrifice themselves for Marley for god's sake, and even after that, they are still serfs. When Reiner and the warriors attack Shiganshina, like everyone says, common folks were oblivious of the world around them and trying to live with ignorant bliss and peacefully. But there was still a Scout Regiment determined to find what is outside and some people joined them to find the truth. Show does not explicitly say that there are people think alike Erwin and ask the question "Is there people outside the walls?" but it is actually must be frequantly asked around the people of Paradis. Hell, i am not living in that universe but i ask that question frequantly throughout the show since episode 1. It is probably not a commonly asked question, since we know that Paradise Government actually supresses those questions with its agents around the island. It actually means that there is a will to fight with the outside world beyond the titan horror. We are not seeing that oppression until season 2 and 3 because Eren and the recruitment of the Scout Regiments are actual children when the show starts, ignorant hopeful and hungry to learn the world but does not see the naked truth yet. Coming back to Marley and the warriors, the warriors actual mission was not destruction of the wall maria and killing innocent civillians. Their only mission was to get the founding titan and return, which is the lineage of King Fritz -Reiss Family- and getting their past revenge eventually from them for the Marley and its people. Tho it goes sideways and the warriors needed to act like that out of desperassion, killing %20 percent of the total population of Paradise Island. They didn't act because of given order, actually what they were doing was not even common knowledge to Marley government for years too, which the Marley government probably think the mission failed and they didn't act on that assumption and leave it at peace until they return, preserving the status-quo where King Fritz leaves to the world with his ultimatum. The Warriors acted like this because of the pure survival instinct and wanting to be heroes instead of execution upon returning, while they are also traumatized children that needs actual care and guidance, oblivious of the naked truth, counterpart of 104th Training Corps. Which means that Paradise Island's common folk actually did not even understand who was the real culprit, because ofcourse when the truth gets revealed, you are gonna blame the opposition government for the attack, not the children that they sent! But sure, Marley Government actually wanted to destroy Eldia for real but they didn't act moronically like people thinks. They still have a moral compass and reasoning when doing their wars; the past violences of Eldia Empire. Now lets get back to the attack on Liberio, the attack was discussed before happening, but Paradise Island government was not gonna do it and they were trying to get back to the original ultimatum; which is the original plan of King Fritz, using the wall titans like a nuclear deterrent, not killing innocent civillians but still threatening them with the knowledge. They also discussed how a war would shape the geopolitical situation of that world as well, having a moral compass but still wanting to get the upper hand by destroying the outside world by a more peaceful plan. So in parallel, opposition governments actually act the same; blaming each other and trying to keep the status-quo. Which I can go and go on that but simply, governing classes of the both nations did not actually care about those too. They only wanted the glory and satisfaction of power, living happily by getting resources from their wars and keeping the system intact, where actually we see in the show with great opposition mainly with two characters; Zeke and Erwin. Anyway, returning to the agenda of Paradise Island government, Eren did not care one bit about that, and goes missing, not letting anyone know, even his closest friends, just giving them information about how he did plan an attack anyway by just sending a letter, which makes him the same to the warriors like he said to Reiner right before the action. I still can't believe how you people still miss the point of Eren's talk to Reiner right before the attack, Sergeant Gross' talk, Erwin's worldview, Zeke's worldview, even the civil war inside Paraside's Walls etc etc etc while it is just obviously there! Human drama all over the place! Characters don't even know what is right and what is wrong in the end! Even the acting leads thinks they are stupid and not good enough, they even say that literally! The show is not about heroism, patriotism, Eldia's or Marley's retribution! It is about pointless cycle of endless violence and stupidity of it! Either side is neither good nor bad, neither right nor wrong! If I were Isayama, I would probably hating the fanbase ngl... Which I love the endless discussions about the show but most people just dismiss the idea of it super simple and lay it flat, which is ironic because it mimics the real life politics and history lol. I actually love AoT because of that because i never saw a fantasy world mimicking real world problems that close to it by not explicitly trying to show it head on like that, other than Dune, which also great in books and protagonist actually resembles Eren in some ways.

No wonder there are human garbages everywhere around the world hating each other and still wanting to kill opposition, they are are not even trying to understand, just acting on pure instincts like titans, WHICH IS ALSO ANOTHER SYMBOLISM OF HUMAN NATURE ON THE SHOW FFS!

TLDR; Marley and Eldia is one and the same, there are power hungry people consuming the world and benefitting from the cycle of violence, and the tragedy is shared between opposition characters. Neither side is right or wrong, there are no heroes, only survivors and they are trying to act better and try to get solutions differently but ending at the same consequences; which is more violence all the same and even acting similarly by the premise of other philosophies and ideologies. Innocence disappears and every main character and opposition tries to keep their hope alive for a better future.

Anyway, if anyone reads it, thanks about that! And if I have some spelling errors etc, I am not a native English speaker so thanks for bearing!
