42 smokes like a Beast

Smoked some chicken thighs, Lamb shanks and under blade chuck roast. Used Bear Mountain Gourmet Pellets with three chunks of oak in the split basket. All came out delicious. Not sure the Roast will make it to Dinner.... Smoke ring is awesome

Don't think you can get better than this !!

I made a small addition to my Detailed Machinery grates with the cutout for the splitbox. Just as a disclaimer, I am not an influencer and I am not affiliated with or get compensated at all (all these were purchased with my hard earned money) by:

LSG, Huber products, Detailed Machinery. I am a backyard bbq / smoking enthusiast who wants to share my great experience with you, other BBQ / smoking folk. I am grateful (no pun) for the quality US made products that I have acquired for my own personal Smoking experience. I bought the www.Huberproducts.com , stainless steel deflector, sear plate and split box, to get a little more smoke /wood/charcoal taste without upgrading to the EFT. Now yes, the 42 smokes like a beast and some will say extra smoke is not needed, I humbly disagree.

Then I found https://www.stainlessgrillgrate.com/product-page/applegarth-35-5w-set-lonestar , and bought them to easily add splits in without having to pull out the bottom tray and get grease everywhere. Today I just received a set of grillgrates.com 19.5 inch length and a gap panel to sit where the removable grate piece is. Here's the cook, hope you enjoy it. I definitely did 😀, was so delicious!! Smoked with Bear Mountain Gourmet Pellets and 2 chunks of oak wood. Seasoned with Franklin's Brisket Rub.

Ultimate 42 pellet setup

Finally finished my ultimate 42 smoker setup. I received my 42 in November 25 and while waiting I was contemplating switching for the EFT , problem was my family doesn't like the charcoal flavor. I had a Masterbuilt XT at the time and I loved the charcoal/ wood splits flavor, so did my Sons. My wife and daughters wouldn't touch the food off it.So I realized no point in getting the EFT and I didn't need the MB after I ordered my 42. Sold the XT and found a Konnected Joe @ Home Depot on clearance, picked it up for myself, while waiting for the 42. I then ordered the Huber split basket / deflector and sear plate. I know the LSG smokes like a beast, BUT on my quick cooks like chicken I like adding in some cherry or pecan chunks, you definitely taste the difference. I just picked up a set of Stainless steel grates from Detailed Machinery, with a removable piece right above the opening of the sear plate and split box. I can now pick up the removable piece and load chunks in. It is fantastic and well made. Check out www.Huberproducts.com and www.stainlessgrillgrate.com/, it's the Applegarth model. Disclaimer I was not the original person who ordered the Applegarth, but kudos to them. I also have not been compensated by either company. Just a real happy consumer sharing my experience with fellow smokers

Wifi booster question

So I need two probes , I do not need a display as I will be using my phone. Do I both probes to be wifi boosters or can I get one regular probe and one wifi booster probe and use that one to connect both probes to the app via Wifi ? Do these work through a Kamado ceramic grill ?? Thanks
