I Built the Game System I Wanted Vision Pro to Be
I made a game called Bloqbox that runs on Vision Pro, iPhone and Apple TV.
The idea was really about stitching these devices together. Vision Pro can feel pretty isolated, so I wanted someone in the headset to be able to play while somebody else jumps in from their phone or the TV instead of just standing there watching.
Both the Vision Pro and iPhone also have level builders, so you can make your own levels, test them and play them instead of only playing what I made.
What got me interested in this in the first place is that Vision Pro is in a weirdly interesting spot right now. I picked mine up used for around $1,600–$1,800, and between AI, controller support and what the hardware can already do, it started feeling a lot more like a legitimate game system to me than it did at launch.
Bloqbox is my attempt to play with that idea: quick games, user-built levels, multiple Apple devices playing together, and making Vision Pro feel a little more social.
It’s still early and I’m building a lot of this as I go, so I’d really love feedback on the concept and where you think it should go next.
