AI Companies push anti-AI sentiment to bait engagement.
AI images are pretty identifiable, and you can always count on the anti-AI squad to come in to react. More engagement means people who don't care about the ethics of the AI debate will 1) see the image, 2) see from the comments complaining about it that it's AI generated, then 3) become a customer.
This is not to say there aren't legitimate reasons to be anti-AI, but I think there are many forces in the world propagandizing each other at light speed to try to control it and gain an edge on one another.
Pro-AI sentiment might be easily filtered out as propaganda, but I don't think anti-AI communities would blink twice at something to the effect of: "The worst ever AI image company is _____. They create really complex images that are totally undetectable as AI generated!"
